  Zero stars. Very bad experience. The rental was loud, shaky and smelled bad. I felt so unsafe in the vehicle that I returned it less than 2 hours later. When requesting a refund, I was told the transaction would be voided and the full amount would be refunded. When I received less than the original amount, I requested an explanation and was told that I was being charged ‘half the daily rate as a courtesy’ because I took the car off the lot. Not exactly good business practice in handing a customer who was already dissatisfied. I’ll never go back there.

  I had a horrible experience at another enterprise location but still needed a car. I picked up tge car from the port jefferson station location already upset and they went above and beyond upgrading me for free and refunding me money for incorrect information I was given by a staff member about returning the car early. I neglected to get the managers name but she took care of me and while I'll never rent from the other location again I will rent from port jefferson station.

  I need to shout out the team here especially Filomena and Greg. Both were incredibly helpful, we had 2 car accidents back to back and needed rentals back to back. The team had us in rentals within hours and made the process very smooth and easy. This team is working hard and with the amount of accidents I've seen lately I think they're doing a great job. They were very kind, compassionate and empathetic. Shout out to them, I know they set mt mind at ease this week.

  Very easy rental Process. This location is particularly accommodating and delivers a superb Customer service experience. Due to our travel schedule they recommended an after hours key drop return which actually saved us money in the long run . From Pick up to drop off the rental was very user friendly. We were also contacted by a team member to make sure we were having the optimal rental experience with our vehicle . When I called to confirm everything was ok with my after hours return , once again I was asked if the customer service met my expectations. Customer service focus in this industry is a game winner . Too many times at other companies the customer is an afterthought , but not here. As far as vehicle selection We didn’t care that much for the Nissan Rogue , although it got back and forth safely with zero issues, I personally would prefer a different vehicle . Thats just a personal choice .

  What was meant to be an exciting day -- finally returning my rental and purchasing my own vehicle after a car accident left me without one -- quickly turned into a maddening, infuriating experience at the Port Jefferson Enterprise. The moment I stepped inside, I was hit with an overwhelming stench of cat feces and litter. The office was filthy and unprofessional, Especially the Manager Filomena Innocente-- not at all what you'd expect from a national company. It immediately set the tone for what would become a nightmare interaction. Instead of a quick, routine return, I was blindsided by ridiculous claims of "significant damage" to a car that had normal wear and tear when I picked it up and when I dropped it off. It was obvious they were trying to use my no-fault insurance claim as an excuse to squeeze money out of my policy -- a total scam. I've been through enough after my accident, and this was the last thing I needed. Pictures will be posted of the significant damage. To make matters worse, I received no confirmation email, no explanation, and no accountability from the staff. Every attempt to get clarity was met with rudeness, defensiveness, and complete lack of professionalism. When asking a question I was met with an attitude. "For the fifteenth time! ..." I am not a trained car rental professional. I've rented with Enterprise at the Smithtown location and returned in Port Jefferson due to the location of my new vehicle. Port Jefferson's way of conducting business is beyond unacceptable as proven by many other recent reviews. The staff, the facility, and their business practices are all a disgrace to the Enterprise name. Corporate seriously needs to investigate this branch -- it's giving the entire company a bad name. Photos will be posted of the the “significant damage,” or better yet the insurance fraud this Place is committing.
