John & Nigel wasted no time assessing the situation, figuring out that the issue was actually the battery (and not the alternator). They then proceeded to switch out my battery, all done within about 15 minutes. These guys were the absolute best! It’s rare that I have an issue with my car, now I know exactly where to go if I ever have any other car issues! Thanks guys!
- NPNoah PerezDec 31, 20255.0I came by advanced auto to get a new battery in my car. I have a Hyundai Tucson sport. I ended up picking up a diehard platinum AGM battery. The customer service is amazing, more specifically Jordin Gambino helped me out. Prior to purchasing the battery he informed me of all of the pros and provided a comparison between the gold and platinum version. Jordin Installed the battery in my car as well and did a superb job. During the insulation he insured no bolts Were stripped, all contact points are cleaned and prepped. Definitely worth coming to AutoZone If you’re ever at this location, Jordin Is extremely knowledgeable, handles the job professionally, And is great in conversation due to his knowledge about vehicles. I will definitely be coming back to this AutoZone for more parts in the future. Thank you, Jordin!

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
