- ALAmy LonFeb 3, 20261.0Do not go here. I was warned by someone else not to come to this shop for my state inspection but they were the only place available with the time I had. I was warned that they would tell me that my tires had dry rot and would most likely not pass me on my inspection. (This person was told they had dry rot and failed their inspection, went to another shop two days later and passed with no issue) I had just had my tires checked less than 4 months prior at a different shop and there was no mention of dry rot at all, so I figured I would be fine. I should have listened, failed my inspection due to supposed dry rot in the tires. Took my car to another shop the next day (a third place), passed my inspection no problem and asked them to specifically check for dry rot and they said they saw no sign of dry rot. So out of three shops the only place to find dry rot was Mavis. Should be mentioned that while I was waiting for my car another person was also told he had dry rot, which based on his reaction he clearly did not agree with either. So I would not recommend them for state inspection as they seem to use it as a way to try and make people buy tires.
