Extremely responsive to my need for a cracked windshield, which was covered by insurance. Excellent communication prior to appointment, and the job was done in a timely manner. The receptionist was very professional and gave me her direct contact number if I had any questions or concerns.

I want to start by saying I have used safelite once and many of my peers and family have as well, with no issues. That being said from day one I was having issues with safelite. Let’s begin with the fact they showed up late and with the wrong part the FIRST appointment I had schedule. Fine not a problem just come back with the right part and please be on time next time. A few days go by and I have another appt scheduled and this time they claim my deductible is not paid for (prepay approved before my appointment) and the tech was adamant I owe 1,000 and no work will be completed until that was squared away (odd as that’s kind of the perk of safelite, repair now pay later). So I go through my insurance asking questions since safelite is saying they won’t chip in at all, which sets my insurance off and that brings a new process for my claim. Since the original appt was cancelled inexplicably, they now required pictures, evidence, witnesses etc because they didn’t believe I hadn’t gotten my windshield fixed. Anyways, so I schedule another appointment and the tech never shows up. Not a message or email to notify me of this either. So I schedule ANOTHER appointment, this time a week later (2 from the original break date) because it’s the only time they had available. So that day comes and, what would ya know the tech shows up over three hours late from the given four hour window and once again giving me the same spiel about how I owe $1k and that my deductible isn’t paid, all of this going on whilst trying to work at a job I just started and have had to adjust my schedule for to make time for safelite (work is unable to provide enough space so I had to leave my vehicle in a sketchy neighborhood unmonitored with the keys unlocked, smart). So finally after the tech decided to reach out to their base (after trying to tell me I hadn’t paid) he discovered I had in fact paid and there were no issue, but whilst waiting for home base to get back the tech said maybe I should use the service of a different auto glass company because it would be a thousand cheaper (I guess I appreciate you “looking out for me” you’re already there and doing the job, maybe just do it without letting me know I’m being ripped off in addition to the other issues I’ve had with safelite?). So after all that and finally getting a new windshield, I can say the windshield now creeks and rattles under acceleration and I will never be using safelite again.. 1/10 service and thank you for also having cost me lost wages, in this economy.
UPDATE: safelite scheduled another warranty replacement for the rattling in my car and when they came, they did not notify me that they were on their way. Then the technician claimed that the previous tech did a fantastic job and that there was no issue and that I now had to go and get the manager’s contact information and that if they didn’t find the problem that they would be charging me for another appt. They also claimed that the rattling had been a previous issue as there is a distinct sound that comes from the A pillar (Jeep things). I understand this confusion as I drive a jeep (brand new so I know what sounds it made and didn’t)and I was aware of this sound in the door/pillar ahead of time, but it is very different to the rattling which was obviously originating from the windshield.
UPDATE: they are sending someone “higher up” to help with my issue, tbd

they never followed up about sending someone, the noise is still there and after the windshield I went to get my car inspected, I failed due to “ripped wiper blades” and the tech said they couldn’t explain how they’d have ripped other than when I mentioned I had my windshield replaced. The techs here told me that it was more than likely the result of a poor service done when the windshield was replaced.
Believe me when I say this has been the biggest headache and pain in my side relating to anything automotive (and I work on cars for fun). Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere. The expenses and lost income I’ve accrued due to their incompetence is impressive.
