Yesterday I took my SUV in for a NYS inspection. After 40 minutes I was called up to the desk. I was presented with a number of papers which included 4 photos of the inside front right and left wheels. Ashley (the front desk manager) attempted to explain what the issue was but could not provide a detailed explanation of what was wrong. I immediately took this as a red flag and told her I did not have the time to stick around to discuss. I asked if the car would pass, she said no. I paid the $22 and immediately drove down the street to a local repair shop and scheduled an appointment for today.
Guess what, my car passed inspection with no issues! I asked the mechanic to review the paper work and images provided by Monroe. He just laughed and said there was no issue. Kind of make you wonder about Monroe’s business practices.
Hey Monroe, how about refunding me my $22.

Worse experience at this location. Simple alignment when I purchased new tires. They screw it up so I bring it back..3 times and then they made it even worse. Took me 4 times to get my car sorted out. Extremely inexperienced techs. Do yourself a favor and don't ever trust these ppl with your car.

They had nothing but answers and solutions, just what I needed with an unexpected trip through a pothole! 'nuff said? Thank, Monroe store #132!

We called on 1/22/26 to make an appointment to get my flex pipe fixed. They said they had time to do it that day and it would be ready later that night. GREAT! After not hearing from them, we called to see if it was ready. They said they thought they had the part but they didn’t, so they ordered it and it would be in the next day 1/23/26. Okay, no big deal.
After not hearing from them on 1/23, we called later in the afternoon. They said they ordered the wrong parts and they needed to order them from out of state. We were annoyed but understood.
On Sunday 1/25/26 we hadn’t heard from them, we called..the car still wasn’t ready.
On Wednesday 1/28/26 we hadn’t heard from them, we called and found out they hadn’t completed the work and they also LOST MY KEYS. I had an aftermarket remote start and the only key fob on the set of keys they lost. My husband drove down that day to drop off my single spare key. They said they would replace the key, fob and remote start. At this point, you’d think they would offer some type of compensation for a rental car?
On Saturday 1/31/26 we called AGAIN. They hadn’t called us once to give us any updates even after losing my keys. They said the work was completed and it was getting the new key, fob and remote start, it would be ready on Sunday 2/1/26.
Of course on Sunday they didn’t call. We called Monday 2/2/26. They said the car was ready to pick up but all they had was a key?? The fob and remote start were not replaced. At this point I was without a car for over 10 days with almost no communication from them. We went and picked up the car. I asked what was the plan for my key fob and remote start and they said they would call me Tuesday 2/3/26 with a time for an appointment at a shop in Webster because they can’t program fobs or do remote starts there. We also paid $1200 (they gave us $200 off) for the work done to my car, which I think is absolutely ridiculous. I was left with no reliable transportation for nearly two weeks, had no communication from the shop and they lost my keys.
On Thursday 2/5/26 I called the corporate office because I hadn’t received a call from the store. NO SURPRISES THERE.
Corporate talked to the store and told me that I had to bring my car BACK THERE, so they could check the brand of the remote start to see if they could replace it there, after they told me Monday, they didn’t do remote starts. I told her I was not leaving my car there and asked if they would be calling me to schedule a time for me to go in so they could look at it. She said yes.
That was almost two weeks ago. As of today, 2/16/26 I still haven’t been contacted and still have not had my remote start or key fob replaced. They had my car for almost two weeks and called me ONCE the entire time.
Please save yourself the headache and do not bring your vehicle here. They have the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I will be contacting the BBB to help me resolve this situation since no one at the store or at the corporate office will.

My Mini Cooper was in the garage for two days for rear brakes, complicated by calipers that were beyond difficult to remove. Ashley went above & beyond in a search for parts and solutions. Excellent customer service!
