- SSshena19901Aug 15, 20251.0Advance auto in Oswego ny is rude to there customers don't exchange parts that are defective and under warranty. Also had the receipt. Tells one person one thing and than you go to the store and get told something different. When you tell them you need the part exchanged cause there part is faulty they tell you it's not there part it's your car. Don't waste your time or your money at this store. There employees and there managers don't even know how to do there job and have to call someone else in order to do something. When a starter starts smoking from it usually that means it's bad but apparently the starters good and now out $120 cause they are rude and refuse to exchange it.

Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
