Brought it back and the employee wearing a backwards black baseball cap tried telling me my cars OCM was fried, that it was very common in my car, and would be a $3000 fix. Closed my hood without ever checking the battery they had just installed. Said he had to go back inside because he's the only one working. No other customers were there. Took it to autozone just needed to replace the alternator.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward.
