- KSKate Stankiewicz4 days ago1.0Less than welcoming experience. I am strictly a Mavis customer. I regularly have my oil changed and tires rotated at Mavis. I get my tires yearly through DJ in Binghamton/JC. I have all sorts of suspension parts replaced in addition to regular maintenance. Today was probably the worst Mavis experience I’ve ever had. It started on the phone two hours prior to my arrival. I asked if there was an opening for an oil change and tire rotation and the manager on duty blatantly said I can bring it in and drop it off. I told him I plan to wait and didn’t want to drop and wait if it would be very long. He(Scott) then said he can’t tell me the wait as anyone could stop and be put in line. So I said ok I’ll see you later. This guy should be working on cars not dealing with the public. Not one word on how long my jeep would be. Not only did he make me feel like I was inconveniencing them but he said very little to me. I told him I called earlier and he said oh you must have talked to customer service, I said no, I talked to you. Then repeated what he said and he acknowledged it was him I talked to. He didn’t say anything about the jeep or how long it would take or invite me to take a seat we’d get you right in.. nothing. The worst communication ever. Then while I was waiting the employees including the manager were in the shop messing around with their Siri. Unfortunately for me loud enough that not only could I hear it but so could anyone outside. They were making Siri say things like “dirtbag” and “take her to pound town” “can you hear me (CODY) can you hear me” Extremely childish and unprofessional on everyone’s part. I understand most mechanics and males and they can be goofy and childish at times but to do so in a way that customers can see and hear is not (in my opinion) good for customer service. In addition to this review I will be filling out an after visit survey. Since the inconsiderate manager Scott couldn’t articulate the wait time I sat for exactly 1 hour before they brought my Jeep in. Then it was in the shop another 50 minutes for a simple oil change and tire rotation. Thanks a lot guys! I think this single experience was just enough to make me leave Mavis forever. And for the record, I’ve been a loyal customer since it was Cole muffler… since 2006. After it was all said and done they changed my oil with bull 5w20 instead of full synthetic. Now I’ve got to drive all the way to Binghamton to get the service Norwich should have given me. Absolutely DO NOT COME TO THIS STORE!
