  I was driving up I-87 on a Sunday afternoon and blew a tire. I was in a pinch because my newer model minivan did not come with a spare (which i did not know until this happened). We ended up having to call a tow truck instead to bring me to the nearest tire shop. it was 3:30 pm or so when this happened, i called Mavis Tire and they reassured me that they were open until 5 and could definitely help me. After waiting for the tow truck to come, it was nearly 4:45 when we arrived at Mavis Tire and they were so gracious and helpful getting my van in and changing out the tire in 20 minutes. I was so incredibly grateful for their willingness to stay a few minutes later than closing time. i was over 100 miles from home and don't know what i would have done had they not changed my tire before they closed. Many, many thanks to all the kind and helpful people at this location. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone.

  Exceeded expectations. Quality work on suggesting and providing four new tires as well as wheel alignment on my Tiguan. On a non-related issue, I brought my Porsche Macan there a couple of days later for a screw in tire, and they repaired it at no cost! Friendly and knowledgeable staff. A special shout out to Tom, Tyler and Kevin for their outstanding service.

  From the moment I walked in Kevin was very welcoming and informative with the recommendations needed for my vehicle. He answered all my questions in detail and helped me understand the reasons for his recommendations. I’ve been coming to Mavis in Newburgh for years and always have a great outcome. Highly recommend!

  Avoid this rip off shop. My daughter brought her Toyota in for a nysi . They told her the car failed for unsafe metal on metal brakes and a leaking strut. The estimate was over 1500.00 I told her to get the vehicle out of there and bring it to Toyota. Sure enough the brakes didn't fail but one set were low. Nys the brakes need to be metal on metal with no friction material at all to fail. She had 3 mm on her front brakes and 5mm on her rear. They also told her she needed a rear caliper that was fine and one rear strut that was leaking. Toyota did her one set of brakes as they were getting low and she can return a few months later for the rear replacement. This Mavis shop is an example of why so many people no longer trust automotive repair shops . We will be calling NY state Dept of motor vehicles and filing a complaint against this rip off shop and will also call Mavis corporate...not that they would care. Avoid this shop in Newburgh at all costs.
