- PSParker SaintmireApr 7, 20261.0Held my battery for 2 years and finally called to tell me the battery is good to go. Explained I could not pick up that day and they said no worries and to come by when I can. Now when I call to confirm the battery is there, they only hold the battery for two days and after that it’s discarded. So after it took two years to charge, you have two days to pick up your battery or it’s discarded. The associate proceeded to say “we are not a battery storage store”.What a joke. Not sure if the lady is still the manager here but she is rude and it reflects on some of the sales staff. I have used this location many times prior to dropping the battery off two years ago and it’s sad I have to leave a review like this. No wonder why everything is done online. So much for my optima yellow top. $300 down the drain. Will not do business here or with advance auto parts in the future. I feel scammed

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle.
