I understand the need to pay the $9 tax when returning the car, but National sticks on a $4.95 upcharge for a day of "toll pass usage" for a MANDATORY TOLL to return the car to THEIR OWN LOCATION is obscene. Terrible business. Avoid renting from here!

The woman I interacted with at this location this weekend was awful - zero compassion or empathy, made no effort to remedy the situation, and cared far more about enforcing a policy that she couldn't even explain to me. I get that there are rules - that's fine. But you couldn't even call me to let me know what the situation was before I showed up, and then scolded me like a child? What's wrong with you? You work in customer service - even if you have to say "no", your job is still to recognize that there is a human being in front of you. If one of my employees treated a customer this way, they absolutely would be getting re-trained or put on a performance improvement plan. I don't think I will rent from this location again and I may consider using a different rental company in the future for all of my work travel.

She was patient, direct, knowledgeable, and very easy to converse with. In 10+ years of renting cars across NYC, I’ve never had such a professional and wonderful experience. Yvonne could literally write and lead the training program for all car rental companies as far as I’m concerned. Thank you so much.
