  Icon has many locations and the folks who run and operate the business are fair. Sole locations have better staff and the key as with all NYC garages is to look your car over carefully and ensure the staff see you do it before you leave your car.

  The manager here is sly. I pre booked the night before and paid for parking through the icon parking app. When I showed up the next morning a guy wonders over and just says to me “that’s an oversized”. I replied to him yes I know the size of my vehicle (2017 Honda Pilot) and that I have a pre paid reservation. I left the car and went off to work. Upon my return at 18:55 (my booking was good until 20:30) I was told that I have a late pick up fee of $15. I showed them my reservation and that I still had at least an hour and half left on my time. They then told me the fee is because of my over sized vehicle. I told them my booking was already paid and that I would not be paying an extra fee, the manager was called (the same guy from when I dropped off) and he told them I had to pay the fee. I had them call him back and tell him that I would not be paying an extra fee, he said “this time we will waive it but that next time I would have to pay it” well there won’t be a next time at this location. George I believe is his name and he clearly thinks that he can charge extra and most likely has to other patrons. Brain the guy that helped me out was great and even said that he has had to cover costs himself from similar situations, to which I told him he should find a new job as that is not acceptable!!
