    DO NOT USE! On Friday October 24, at 2:33 pm, I arrived at Global Parking LLC; located at 143 W 40th St in NY (DCA Lic. #0368502). When I arrived, I was greeted by two gentlemen; one of which I believe was being trained by the other. When they greeted me, I showed them paperwork that I had printed out verifying that I had pre-paid for parking for the weekend and wanted verification that I had arrived at the right garage. Being from Rhode Island, I had no idea where I was going and was solely relying on my navigation system. Upon review of my paperwork, the older of the two gentlemen, told me that I WAS in the right garage. He proceeded to ask for my phone number, and I provided the phone number under the reservation (my sister); he corrected me and asked me for MY phone number as it was my vehicle being parked. I asked what if anything additionally he needed from me and if the paperwork from my reservation needed to stay with him upon check-in. He said it did not, and that he would print out a slip that I would combine with my paperwork and bring back on Sunday when I came to pick up my car. I took the slip and my paperwork and left. On October 26 at 10:00, I returned to the same garage with my paperwork and slip and presented it to the gentlemen at the booth. He made a call to a colleague to bring down my car once he took my paperwork. Almost immediately, he informed me that I had NOT paid for parking and would need to submit payment to him. I explained that the paperwork I gave him was my receipt from the pre-paid parking and also explained it was the same paperwork I had given to his colleagues on Friday at the time of check-in where I was told that I was in the correct place and was all set. He then made a phone call to the same colleague informing him that I had not paid and not to bring my car down. This obviously caused me a great deal of stress. He was dismissive of my attempts to explain what had happened on Friday and told me it "wasn't his problem" because "I didn't speak to him" there was nothing he could do. I explained that the same paperwork he had in front of him was what I had given to his colleagues who had verified I was in the correct garage. He eventually dismissed me, maintaining silence while I asked questions and stared out from his booth onto the street avoiding eye contact while I requested my car under the circumstances. This man's behavior was unprofessional, disrespectful. dismissive, disgusting and intentionally intimidating. He was an older gentleman speaking down to a young woman from his enclosed office; it was vile. I did end up paying the money to get my car as I had no choice; my child and elderly mother were waiting for me to bring my car around to our hotel. This interaction went on for 15 minutes where I did my best to maintain composure but there is only so much a woman in an unfamiliar city can stand when being spoken too so vilely by a man withholding her belongings; I felt powerless. I have since been exchanging emails with the Customer Service representative who have offered NOTHING but an apology. This is completely unacceptable in my opinion. I hope by posting this review it will bring attention to my situation and hopefully prevent others from using this garage and sharing the same experience.

    Don’t come here if u stay for 3 hours or under 10 they still charge u for the 10 hrs

    Le doy 1 estrella por qué no puedo darle 0, nos dieron el precio de $31 al llegar y cuando retiramos el carros nos dijeron que eran más de $70, según el que nos atendió ya había salido de turno y el señor que estaba no tenía ni el número del supervisor quien extrañamente fue el que nos atendio y me dijo " puedes llamar a la policía si quieres " pero tienes que pagar, mañosos!! Jamás volvería, fue lo peor de estar en NYC

    If you can avoid parking in this place, do it. Super bad service. If you don't bring a super luxury car to park, they want to treat you like garbage.

    DO NOT GIVE THIS PARKING LOT BUSINESS. THE STAFF IS EXTREMELY RUDE AND THEY ARE DREAMERS THAT THEY ARE THE BOSS. I DIDN’T FALL FOR THEIR LIE. My hotel Margaritaville has a deal with them and I told them that I’m staying two days so when I got back to pick up my car they wanted to force me to pay three days. The guy who works there on the very first day told me what time I’m checking out and I told him but during pick up there was a whole chaos and the guy working on Sunday kept my car as hostage for 40 mins. The hotel manager was involved but the employee at Icon Parking wouldn’t care to talk to the Hotel manager and tossed the business card of the hotel manager inside their office. So I’m shutting my card and won’t let them get paid now. Hopefully I will have a lawsuit and shut the whole ICON parking down there. VERY RUDE AND AGGRESSIVE AND CHARGE PEOPLE EXTRA. DO NOT FALL FOR IT. OTHERS WERE MAD TOO.
