They tend to do the bare minimum and still claim the job is complete. At 3:45 PM, I was suddenly told I’d be charged an extra $60 because the tires were “low-profile.” I’ve had this same tire size installed at another Mavis with no issues or extra fees- this seemed to be due to an inexperienced technician, not the tires. I didn’t get my car back until 5:30 PM. The manager, Bradley, apologized, gave me a $5 discount per tire, and offered a free service, which I appreciated. But on my way home, the TPMS light came on- all four tires were at 32 PSI instead of 42, three chrome lug caps were missing, and none of the wheels were balanced (no weights at all). My steering wheel vibrated badly on the highway, and when I got home, I saw that all four rims were scratched during installation. This was an awful experience from start to finish- long delays, surprise charges, poor workmanship, and visible damage. I expected much better based on the reviews, but now I’m questioning how accurate those reviews are.
