First, the tap-to-pay feature repeatedly failed and refused to accept my payment method, even though there were no issues with the card itself. After multiple attempts, I finally got it to recognize the payment, only to be met with repeated error messages telling me to unplug the charger from my car—despite everything being connected properly. Once I eventually managed to start a session, I noticed that it had already started with a balance of $3.45, which was very confusing. Even more concerning, the cost seemed to rise unusually fast during the charging session. Overall, this was a very poor first impression, and it makes me hesitant to use EVgo again in the future.
