- MVMario VelasquezDec 10, 20231.0Every time I find myself going to advance auto parts. I see why I don’t make them my number 1 auto store. They are so unprofessional. I order a part Friday supposed to come in Saturday. They said the place they ordered from didn’t have it so it would come in Sunday. Called Sundays to see if my part came in they had me on hold for 20 min. The phone would dile them back on its own after 3 min waiting. This happened for a 20 min period. Never have this problem with any other auto store. Not to mention every time I walk into advance I don’t see uniforms, there’s a lack of training. The guys need to be more knowledgeable and cordial toward customers. Which those are the reasons I choose not to support advance. Back to AutoZone. They never fail you !!!!!! This is not to badge advance they need better management/training every advance in the country.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
