  RUN! This company is a SCAM! I wish I have read people’s experiences on Reddit before I rented from them. Not only do they attempt to add toll pass without asking, double charge insurance (I added insurance when booking but they attempted to add again at pickup), but also put damage claim on me acknowledging the damage already exists at pickup. Customer service is nonexistent. With the return receipt they had me sign showing no new damage, I have difficulty reaching out to human who I can dispute with. They do offer nice cars but nothing worths all the hassle.

  Overcharged and racially profiled I was about an hour late returning the car, and they told me that they would not charge me for a full extra day just for that hour, but in the end I was still charged for an extra whole day, increasing the cost by nearly $100. Additionally, the reason I was late was because I was trying to dispute a parking ticket for parking at a construction site (the construction site was halfway down the block and on the other side of the street, and there were cars parked both in front and behind me). Before I could finish the dispute process, Sixt paid the ticket and charged me for the full amount plus fees. So what was originally going to be a $100 weekend rental turned into a $400 one And to add insult to injury, when I was picking up the car I waited nearly half an hour without being helped or acknowledged. I assumed they were busy with a large party ahead of me, but later two different caucasian customers walked in and were immediately helped, so I realized something was wrong and I spoke up. My guess is they assumed I was with the group ahead of me in line since they were also asian

  I had an excellent experience with SIXT Rent A Car at the Long Island City location in NYC. From start to finish, the process was incredibly fast and smooth. The entire team was friendly, efficient, and welcoming. I walked up to the counter and they immediately got to work, no unnecessary delays. I was in and out within about 15–20 minutes, which is impressive for a NYC rental location. I want to give a special shoutout to Donell, who assisted me during my pickup. He asked thoughtful questions to make sure I wasn’t overpaying for the E-ZPass, which I really appreciated. That level of transparency and care made a big difference. I booked a BMW, and that’s exactly what I received, a BMW X2. The car was spotless, gas tank full, smelled great, and had everything I needed to get on the road comfortably. Overall, this was a smooth, honest, and probably the best stress-free rental experience I've had so far. Highly recommend this SIXT location if you’re looking for great service, efficiency, and quality vehicles. I’ll definitely be back.

  I booked this car five days in advance and received the call, only to have the reservation canceled on the morning of Christmas Eve due to “no car available.” In my over ten years of car rental experience, this is the first time something like this has happened. It caused major disruption to my plans and was extremely frustrating. Overall, this was a very poor experience, and I would not recommend renting from this company. 我提前五天完成车辆预订却在平安夜当天早上被临时告知订单取消，理由是“无车可用”。在我过去十多年的租车经验中，这是第一次遇到这种情况，给行程造成了严重影响。 无论如何 这很糟糕。

  My experience with Sixt Long Island City had a rocky beginning, but I want to highlight how impressive their customer service was in turning things around. There were some initial issues at pickup that were frustrating, however the customer service team was responsive, professional, and genuinely committed to resolving the situation. They took the time to listen, addressed my concerns efficiently, and made sure I left satisfied. Because of how well they handled the issue, I would absolutely consider renting with Sixt again. Great customer service can make all the difference, and they delivered.
