- DBD B4 days ago1.0This is by far the worst customer service at any advance auto parts. When calling your placed on hold for over 10 minutes with no response. If you finally speak to someone they put you back on hold or scream at you, I think John was his name and hangs up the phone. He complains that they are busy and my little purchase doesn’t matter to them. Better off going to autozone, atleast they check the box to make sure it’s not a used part or wrong part in the box.

I came in he helped right away and hes genuinely such a nice guy i have an alfa romeo so usually its a bit complicated getting parts and service help but mike helped me out no problem. He got me set up with brakes and rotors in 4 minutes and i was out. Amazing store with great staff.

I went in looking for refrigerant for my car because my a/c wasn’t working so I asked the man if he could show me how to do it, he hooked it up to the compressor and read the psi as 117. He looked confused so he ask one of his coworkers a question. Another man came over and told me that my car is “a ticking time bomb” and started to back away from my car because “it could explode” and left me there just like that. I immediately after took it to a mechanic because I thought my life was in danger if I didn’t get it fixed. The mechanic I took it to was shocked when I told him this story and just explained that I needed a new compressor not that my car was gonna explode on me. This was an extremely bad experience and was so unprofessional on auto zones part. I understand that the associates who work there aren’t mechanics but telling a girl in her young 20’s who doesn’t know much about cars that her car might blow up is wrong. So don’t shop or give your time here period.
