Tried calling the Clifton Park, NY safelite location and it kept hanging up on me. Apparently you can’t talk to any live person at safelite. Super difficult to get a quote and schedule service.

After waiting 6 days, which they said was the earliest they could come, I get a call saying they aren’t coming due to understaffing. I explained I can’t drive and they promised to be here. Their excuse was as lame as their apology. Now have to wait 3 more days.

Randall showed up on time with a courtesy call beforehand. He was very professional and friendly. He did a fast repair on my windshield and it looks brand new. I would highly recommend Safelite for this service!

I have pictures of damage to my vehicle that took place while getting my back window installed on 10/22/2025. Attached are the pictures of the damage. The damage consists of a deep dent on top of roof, damage to clear coat from use of heat gun, to remove factory rear spoiler. The technician Nicholson that did the work on my vehicle was very pleasant and had great customer service. Unfortunately it seemed as if he was struggling to replace the window on my vehicle. He repeatedly had to look up videos on “how to” remove 3rd brake light and was struggling with the removal of rear factory spoiler. He arrived at my location around 1pm. He was working on vehicle for over an hour before he informed me that he needed me to drive my vehicle to the shop in order to complete service. I asked him politely if he was going to have me follow him there and he stated to go to the shop and he will meet me there. I confirmed it was the shop located on Old Niskyuna Road in Latham NY. He told me yes. I drove my vehicle over to the location. At the time my window was already missing and had to drive vehicle with missing window and glass being dropped while driving. Not Safelites fault but an inconvenience to say the least. When I arrived at location, I was never greeted or directed as to what to do. I went inside and approached the front desk. I was greeted by a woman. Name was never given to me. I explained to her that I was told by Nicholson to go to shop and he would meet me there. She looked at me with a confused look on her face. She asked me to sit down and then continued conversations she had with her co-workers. After conversations she then called Nicholson who did inform her he instructed me to go to shop. After about 10 mins she came up to me and asked me to put on safety googles and to follow her to the back. In the back there stood 2 gentleman. I believe one was a manager because he informed me that he needed to remove the factory spoiler in order to replace the window. He then explained that it was held on by 3M tape and that it “may not be able to be reinstalled” if they remove. I am very familiarized with vehicles and worked for the auto industry for years. I know that it is very common to have to remove factory parts when replacing parts. I was asked if they wanted to proceed. Of course, I needed my window replaced to drive my vehicle. They proceeded, I was told that my vehicle was in the back. I went back to check on vehicle and the technician was using a heat gun to heat the tape holding the spoiler to the vehicle. The technician was using this device very close to the paint. I have used a heat gun many times in the past and know that holding this close to paint without movement could damage clear coat very easily. He continued. He then received a phone call on his cellphone. (Not sure if it was company phone) when doing this he moved trunk upwards and heat gun was dropped through window. Not too sure why it was fed through window, and then this heat gun was placed on paint without anything beneath it protecting paint. This is where I believe the dent came from. While he was removing factory wing and using heat gun. He was using a pry tool to loosen the connection on 3M tape. While prying on bare paint there was creasing on the seems. Overall the job was complete. Took 3+ hours and also had to travel to store on my own. I had a good overall customer service experiencewith technician but quality of work, attention to detail and respect to my vehicles well being was very disappointing

Made an appointment for $800 to install an 8 inch piece of drivers side glass. After waiting for a week, they called hours before the actual appointment to cancel because they don't manufacture that glass and there is no way to get it anymore. After 15 minutes of searching I was easily able to locate and purchase the glass. I called them back later that week. They will not install customer glass.
