  I need to describe the whole process. My Chevrolet Traverse check engine light on which was on 11/1/25. Checking P0430 code issue and visited Latham Monro Muffler Service to fix it. Associates named Rob explained the deal and to fix exhaust leak and replacement of catalytic converter and I got to pay $1449.03. After driving a single evening, the same engine light on, the same code issue checked. I visited the Latham Monro Service again and they told me they fixed the oxygen sensor. The same engine light came back and on third visit I even showed the front desk associate named Phillip the photo of the code which showed details of how code memory changed from permanent, pending and stored. Phillip is very not polite in communication to reply my concern and I need to contact main customer service of Monro. One associate asked me to bring the supporting documents fixed from another certified dealer that they failed to fix. I said not to pay double charge at another dealer. Then she said to submit supporting documents that the issue needs to fix. I went to certified dealer paid $200 for paper documents of diagnostic check engine light P0430 and catalytic converter bank2 and exhaust flex pipe to fix. I talked to Monro Service, associate Oliver replied, my refund claim was rejected. I insisted to talk to his supervisor, Ruby to whom I could leave only voice mail. This is the media age, technical age, and all documents are kept clear and Monro Service needs to refund $1449.03 which I paid on 11/4/25 for said service of catalytic converter replacement. Otherwise, all consequences will be with the Monro Service Center.

  Very good service. Greeted me; polite and took care of me in a timely fashion. There was a bit a a snag however the representative took excellent are of the situation and made it better .

  My recent experience at the Monro Tire location in Latham on Saturday 11/8/2025. I had pre-ordered tires and arrived for my scheduled appointment, only to be informed at that time that the balancing and alignment machine was down. Instead of offering to reschedule or recommending a shop that was fully equipped to complete the service, I was directed me to the Mr. Tire on Central Ave in Albany. After spending approximately half an hour to forty five minutes at that location — where the gentleman was simultaneously tending to his daughter in the shop — I was told they could not get the tires to balance properly. This left me with no choice but to go to another tire shop to have the issue corrected, which also cost me an additional $60, not to mention time, money, and the aggravation. This entire situation could have been avoided had I been informed upfront and given me the option to reschedule once the balancing equipment was operational. Instead, I was sent elsewhere without proper assurance the work could be completed, resulting in additional, unexpected expenses, unnecessary time wasted, and potential safety concerns due to improperly balanced tires. I am extremely disappointed with how this was handled.

  WARNING UNSKILLED MECHANICS WORK HERE. DANGEROUS MISTAKE - Left Stranded on Busy Road Due to Poor Workmanship I recently had my alternator replaced at this Monro location on my 2019 Chevy Traverse. Following the service, the vehicle stalled completely during rush hour traffic on Hoosick Street in Troy, resulting in an extremely dangerous situation that lasted over an hour. The cause? The mechanic failed to correctly tighten the car battery after the repair. A reputable shop later confirmed this basic, negligent oversight was the root cause of the breakdown. As a result of this shop's lack of quality control, I was forced to pay an additional $250 for a tow and a secondary diagnostic check. To charge a premium rate and have a technician fail on a fundamental task like securing a battery is unacceptable and put me and other drivers at risk. I highly caution others about the quality of work performed here.

  Called ahead for an oil change arrived on time took me right away. Completed in 40 minutes. They even rotated my tires .!! Excellent service. Manager was extremely helpful !
