- MKMatthew KeczmerFeb 13, 20261.0**** this place. Let me tell you how they tried to scam me out of $1,400. I took my car here for a routine state inspection. Needed a couple of light bulbs replaced. I take my car here, and the guy looks me in the eye and tells me that I am *required* to fully replace my brake rotors and windshield wiper motors, or I would fail the inspection. Told them I’d come back after getting a second opinion. Vandervort’s in Vestal charged me $45 to pass my inspection. Just for the bulbs, inspection, and the labor. I can’t speak for all Mr. Tire locations, but here they will lie to your face and waste hours of your time. Then charge you $100 just for the “pleasure” of dealing with them. Maybe it was just because I was a college student and they thought I didn’t know any better. Stay away. This place deserves to go out of business.
