- CRCharles Riehm4 days ago1.0Crooks!! In July of last year, I called the Mavis store in Islandia and asked them how much 4 new tires would be for my wife’s Expedition. They told me it would be $1100 Plus, I was eligible for a $200 rebate. So I went to the store and had the Tires put on which took over three hours to do. When the tires were done, I paid for the tires which was $1120 and they handed me rebate. A fella said I would be able to get a $200 rebate back from Goodyear. I filled out the paperwork sent it in to Goodyear And about six months later I realized I did not get my $200 rebate. I called up Mavis and they said Liz, the regional manager would be getting back to me. It wasn’t Liz. It was somebody else from the company told me that they would be a $100 credit in the system time I decided to go there to get Tires. Last week, my wife had a blowout so I called the Mavis store and spoke with Jay. He said yes I see the $100 credit in the system and we have the tires in stock. He said I did not need to make an appointment just come in and will put a new tire on for you. It would be about $250 less the $100 credit you have. So today November 19 I went into the store and I spoke with Pete And told him about the conversation I had with Jay. He looked up my car on the computer using the license plate and he said have a seat we will replace that tire for you. When the truck was done, I went to pay for it and Reminded Pete about the $100 voucher. Then he tells me (After the tire is installed) That he did not see a voucher in the system. He called Jay On the phone and Jay told Pete that he was going to give me a free oil change. I proceeded to tell him this is not what I was told. I want my $100 credit. Pete said I’m sorry today is my first day in the store and I cannot do that for you but I will give you the tire at cost. Though I appreciate Pete was trying to accommodate me, but the original rebate was for $200 not for a discount on one tire. I told Pete how much I appreciate him Trying to help me, but this was not acceptable. I told him I would pay whatever the tire cost and they have lost a customer for life. I spent over five hours to get four tires done after being on the phone about The invalid rebate. Never again!
