- JPJohn PepeFeb 3, 20265.0Came in with no coolant in my car. Wasn't sure what the issue was (having it checked today), but I needed some help adding the coolant and trying to look for any leaks. The first gentleman who helped me behind the counter, Lawrence, was very helpful and personable. The second gentleman, Manny, came outside with me and helped me add the coolant and look over the engine. He also shared some of his wisdom with situations like this. I really appreciated both of them taking the time to help me out and going even further in explaining certain aspects of my car's coolant system and what to look out for. The manager was also very courteous and professional. The store is clean and had everything I needed. Will definitely be a repeat customer! Thank you all!

Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
