I want to be sure and share my experience at Empire Mazda in Huntington and the attention I received today when picking up my new car with Wally Zayed! What a pleasure! He took his time to go thru the car functions with me and set up my app with mazda as well. I still had some items to move from my old car and he helped me with that as well. He really did everything right with a smile on his face the whole time. He was lovely and made my day! Thank you again Wally and Eric and Jaime at Empire Mazda. Always a pleasure!!!

Tldr: Extremely dishonest, and fake dealership with little care for the consumer only the bottom line. Ok, so come in to possibly buy a used vehicle. Sales person was fine, typical stuff you expect from going to a dealer. Lot of back and forth on a price after picking a car. Fast forward we are going to leave, sales manager comes back with a counter offer to which we agreed to; it was closing time and I had to rush so we agreed to sign purchase agreement and put down a $1000 deposit. We agreed to come back in 2 days to complete the purchase, they told me to call back the morning we were planning to go to get insurance sorted out before hand. I call, they told me they sold the car already.... the car they took and cashed a deposit on, the car that I signed the purchase agreement on and the car that the sales manager shook hands on. Was obviously super upset, sales manager said he did nothing wrong. Cherry on top, deposit was finally returned 3 WEEKS later. Don't come here guys, they don't care about you, and they will flat out try to scam you. Beware.

If you can avoid this dealership, please do. This place is completely untrustworthy. My husband and I put a deposit down and actually signed a purchase agreement at an agreed price, with the clear understanding that we’d return two days later to finalize the purchase due to our schedule. We even planned it that way on purpose so we could complete the deal with Brendan Rogalle, since he was off the next day—we wanted to make sure he received the commission for helping us. Jahvon Prince, the floor sales manager, even shook our hands as we were leaving and confirmed the plan for us to come back two days later. Instead, when we called the day we were supposed to move forward and have my credit run, we were told they had already sold the car. So they took our deposit to “hold” the car, had us sign a purchase agreement, confirmed the plan and then sold the car anyway. No courtesy call. No heads-up. Nothing. We only found out because we reached out to them. When my husband spoke to Jahvon Prince, he tried to cover it up by claiming they had called us—which is completely false. Neither of us received a single call. He wasn’t even apologetic, brushing it off with excuses like supposedly calling us and not running our credit even though we had agreed we would call Tuesday morning so they can run the credit in preparation for us to come in later that day to finalize purchase. At that point, it’s hard not to believe they turned around and sold the car to someone else for more money just to hit their quota, because that’s exactly how this felt—like customers mean nothing and the only thing that matters is their bottom line. They went back on their word as soon as a better deal walked through the door. This is not just poor communication, it’s dishonest, shady, and completely unprofessional. We acted in good faith, even going out of our way to ensure their salesperson was taken care of when we could have gone in on Monday instead of Tuesday, and this is how they handled it. Not only did they do this to us as customers, they did this to their own salesperson who lost the commission due to this mismanagement. They had no problem taking our deposit and stringing us along, then backing out the second it benefited them. They clearly care more about making a quick sale than honoring their commitments or treating customers with basic respect. If this is how they treat customers before a sale is even finalized, imagine what happens after. Did we get our deposit back? Sure. After 2 weeks & several calls. Consider this your warning, don’t trust them to stand by their word. Do yourself a favor and take your business somewhere else.

From the moment we arrived, it was clear this place lacks even basic professionalism. The salesman was vaping in front of my kids, which was completely inappropriate and honestly disgusting. That alone should have been enough to walk out. It only got worse. The car we were supposed to test drive didn’t even have gas—completely unprepared and a total waste of our time. Then came the pricing games, including a nearly $2,000 “conditioning fee” that felt like nothing more than a blatant cash grab. The situation escalated when we were handed off to a sales manager who tried to fast-talk through the numbers, as if we wouldn’t notice things didn’t add up. It was insulting and dishonest. I expressed my disgust and walked out. After that, a director actually called me, acknowledged the situation, and said he would follow up—but of course, he never did. That lack of follow-through just reinforces how little they value customers. This dealership operates with zero transparency, zero professionalism, and zero accountability.

I walked into this dealership as a young, first time car buyer in a vulnerable position, genuinely needing reliable assistance. Instead of being treated with honesty and professionalism, I was met with behavior that I can only describe as deceptive and unethical. During the financing process, the dealership falsified and exaggerated my income on a credit application in order to secure approval without a co-signer. When I questioned this, the salesperson casually stated, “we have to do what we have to do to get you approved,” which is deeply alarming and, frankly, unacceptable. This was indicating clear awareness of misconduct. The situation became even more concerning when I was directed to work with a so-called “insurance broker.” I was told that, as a 21 year old first time FEMALE driver, this individual could secure me insurance for an unrealistically low monthly rate of 230 dollars a month but only if I sent him $900 through Zelle, Cash App, or Venmo. This immediately raised red flags. When I asked to speak with this broker directly, he answered the phone unprofessionally with “yo what’s up,” further undermining any credibility. Meanwhile, the salesperson avoided answering direct questions and instead communicated with this individual privately on his phone, refusing to provide transparency. Only to respond to my concern as “well he deals with people all day so”When my friend and I began questioning the legitimacy of this arrangement, the salesperson became visibly nervous. Despite this, he proceeded with the deal, had me sign paperwork, and even told me the car was being prepared filled with gas and presented with a bow and I could be on my way with my new car. Suddenly and without explanation, he returned and abruptly stated he was “pulling out of the deal.” There was no clear justification other than claiming I seemed uncomfortable with the broker—despite the fact that the entire situation had been orchestrated and encouraged by him. He then rushed out of the room, claiming he had a meeting, and never returned. At that point, it became clear that once they realized we were questioning the legitimacy of what was happening, they chose to back out rather than be held accountable. While another salesperson later attempted to assist, the damage had already been done. This experience felt like a blatant attempt to take advantage of a young woman buyer through misinformation, pressure tactics, and highly questionable financial practices. I strongly urge anyone considering doing business with this dealership to proceed with extreme caution, ask detailed questions, and avoid any situation involving unverifiable third parties or unconventional payment methods. Based on this experience, I have serious concerns about misrepresentation, manipulation, and potentially improper financial and insurance practices. I expected guidance and transparency as a first time buyer. Instead, I left feeling misled, disrespected, and deeply concerned about the practices taking place here.
