This is my first time utilizing a collision shop, so I had to share my experience with everyone. My truck got hit at the end of summer, which thankfully the other driver's insurance company took 100% responsibility. That was the only delay in this experience, absolutely nothing wrong on Gerber's part, just the annoying insurance claim process. (The other driver was wholly and totally faulted for the accident due to his inattention, and struck my right side front tire and fender.)
However, when it came time to get things moving, I had my rental car dropped off there so I didn't have to rely on someone bringing me home and cause further disruption in my day, the amazing staff there were all very helpful and friendly, explained the process clearly, and even provided phone call updates twice a week, and periodic text message updates for work completion. They even listened to me when I told them my alignment was off after the accident, since it drifted to the right, and the wheel was off center. They added in the alignment there, and once the parts they needed to repair it came in, they were working on it right away. They gave me an initial timeline completion date, but they ended up completing everything 6 days sooner! Bonus!
They did such a great job, you would hardly know it was damaged! My truck is already 9 years old (but still in great shape!), and the paint work matched spot on! There was even some paint damage on the passenger door that they fixed as well, and it looks fantastic! Even having it out in the bright sunlight, I couldn't tell where the old paint ended and the new paint began, but I am 1000% satisfied with them, and while I hope never to have to use them again, but if I do, they are my only call. No hassles, no stresses, they dealt with progressive once I submitted my claim to them, and they accepted the responsibility, so I didn't have to fight with them personally.
