Not the best but understandable. Called at 2 and hadn’t been looked at yet. Told me it would be ready in an hour by 3. I arrive at 3 and still wasn’t moved from where I left it at 11 am. Then told it will only take 10 minutes to fix. If that’s the case why is it now 4-1/2 hours later. Still waiting at 3:30. I will never come back here again. No one here waiting for a car now because everyone else who came in today was taken care of ahead of my appointment. Staff is very friendly and the mechanic very nice but worst experience.

The people that helped us were Russell the manager (Definitely a keeper), Bryce and Tyler. Once you find a place where you're treated respectfully and professional there's no need to go elsewhere. I will NEVER go anywhere except to Mavis Tire 60 Forest Avenue Glen Cove, NY 11542. My daughter also drives our van and there's nothing as important as knowing you and your family are safe. I know we achieved that by going to see Russell and the Glen Cove crew.

I was quoted around $600. I requested pricing only to be told it would cost over $4000 dollars by another at the front desk. First off he went to look outside at my (Florida) plate number before quoting me. Second, he told me it would cost me 18 1/2 hours of labor at 158 dollars an hour for a 4 hour job according to other mechanics. This is unacceptable and unconscionable as well as high way robbery. If I service my car you should charge me the amount of hours you’re physically spending on my car and not for everyone else’s car you’re fixing while mine stays on the lift. Shame on you and I’ve lived in New York my entire life so don’t think you’re going to make a fool out of me! For this I will not go or recommend you to anyone again.

He is a knowledgeable and enthusiastic manager who inspired my confidence. When I arrived he measured my treads and advised I would need two new tires installed in front and would rotate the old fronts to the back. They were able to get a second tire in addition to the first one I ordered for the appointment within a few hours via their courier. While they were working, he texted me to express concern about the condition of my brakes which were very rusted with low friction. This explained why my brake warning light had been on for over 2 years despite other mechanics assuring me I had enough life left in them. He quoted me a competitive, discounted rate and his team worked until after close to finish the job so I could get to work the next morning. Really appreciated Russell communication and Ava, who rung me out and showed me the damage to my pads and rotors, as well as the rest of the team who got the job done right. On my way home I was shocked at how improved the ride and braking system was. I'll definitely be back for future repairs. Thanks again!
