  I go far out of my way to go to this particular Valvoline. The employees here are efficient, friendly and get along very well - I smile a lot listening to their banter. Who would think an oil change could be enjoyable? Well worth the drive.

  My experience was top tier. From the moment that I pulled up, my service was excellent. I like how I was asked if it was Ok with my door being opened or a service being performed. I was even provided with information about areas of maintenance that need attention. Quick in and quick out. I had a wonderful experience.

  I have been using this Valvoline for a few months now and the girl I dealt with the other day was terrible to me. She recommended a battery in which I told her my current one was under warranty so I would take it back to where it was purchased since it was testing "bad" and at that moment the entire interaction changed. She turned around immediately and clearly mumbled "stupid" to a colleague. She then proceeded to ignore me for about ten minutes although my service had wrapped up. When she did come back she rudely said $133.00 with an attitude for some reason and barely handed me my sticker reminder. I'm not sure if you pay these people on commision but I will not go back to a place where if you don't buy the upsells each visit you get treated poorly.

  This review is moreso to state that I had such a nice interaction with one of the employees. I'm not generally one to come into a business right before they are about to close, especially for something that can keep employees at work past their time to leave. But, I was hoping to be able to get my inspection done and if there wasn't a line and there was not so I figured let me jist try and see what they say. An employee happened to be outside and I rolled down my window and asked them if they would habe time before they closed to do an inspection. The employee let me know that two years ago he would have said absolutely but that the only locations now that do them are Irondequoit and Brighton. Disappointed but understanding I said thank you anyways and he asked if there was anything else they could do, oil change or anything that they'd be happy to but I was good on that. I wish I had gotten his name so I could give a little more credit to him specifically but he was so polite and caring and for someone at the end of their shift probably hoping to go home on time and what not--I just thought it was so nice of him to offer anything that he could outside of the inspection since he wasn't able to help me with that. I've been in customer service since before I could even get a working permit at 15 years old and I've seen great customer service such as this encounter, and I've certainly seen my share of less than, and its just nice to still come across individuals that do truly care about their job and the service that they provide and know how to be professional and still care about people. So to that employee (I'm sorry I didn't get your name) thank you for taking the time to try to provide great customer service where you could and being so nice and caring.

  The team seemed to be a little short staffed but still should have paid more attention. I needed an oil change so they did that and put in the fuel system cleaner at my request. They didn't show me the oil level on the dip stick like they usually do. They didn't check the engine coolant level. They didn't check the air filter after I asked them to. I had to ask them to check the tire pressure. They checked the tire pressure and lost one of the valve caps. I had to go back to get the engine coolant topped off. Then I realized that the oil level was less than half way in the crosshatch pattern area. I topped off the oil level at home so I didn't have to go back again. This was the worst service I have ever had at this location. I have been satisfied with the service up to this point.
