would skip this shop. had my car towed here they wanted $165 for a USED TIRE, then the worker stripped 3 of my lug nuts. bad service, high prices. After stripping my lug nuts they just walked away and said i had to bring the car to dealership. I would avoid this shop at all costs they sell used tires at new tire prices.

My tire light went on and I drove straight to Toli. I thought I had a nail in the front left tire. They checked all my tires and said nothing was wrong with my car. They reset the warning light and told me to keep an eye on the tires and come back if I had a problem. I highly recommend them. They are nice honest and professional

I highly recommend TOLI tires. I got my brake pads and rotors replaced. Fantastic price I asked around and this was the cheapest and most efficient. They replaced them with high quality product. Braking now is soo smooth. The workers were so courteous! I love the hometown feel of supporting a local small business.
Frequently Asked Questions About TOLI Tires - Tires of Long Island
What is TPMS?
The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) is an electronic system in vehicles that monitors tire air pressure. It alerts drivers with a dashboard light when tire pressure is dangerously low, but not when tires are overinflated. The TREAD Act, passed by Congress, requires most vehicles manufactured after 2006 to be equipped with TPMS, emphasizing the importance of tire pressure safety and maintenance. For more information about tires in Freeport, NY, please contact us.
What is my recommended tire pressure?
We advise adhering to the tire pressure specified by your vehicle manufacturer. This information is typically found inside the driver's door jamb. It's important not to deviate from this recommended pressure. Note that pressure requirements may change with plus-sized tires. For standard-sized tires, you can use the tire pressure lookup tool to view manufacturer-recommended inflations. If you need assistance with your tires in Freeport, NY, please reach out to TOLI Tires - Tires of Long Island.
Is it easy to see when my tire pressure is low?
Determining tire pressure by visual inspection alone is challenging and unreliable. Inadequate tire pressure maintenance can lead to tire punctures. Research indicates that over 90% of tire punctures can be repaired if detected early. Our experience shows that tires can be significantly underinflated, sometimes by more than 50%, before it becomes visually apparent. For this reason, we strongly recommend checking your tire pressure monthly using an accurate tire gauge. For the most precise reading, it's best to check in the morning before driving. If you need assistance with your tires in Freeport, NY, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Do my original equipment (O.E.) tires come with a mileage warranty?
Original equipment (O.E.) tires, which are designed to meet vehicle manufacturer specifications, do not include a mileage warranty. However, these tires are covered by a warranty for workmanship. For assistance with your tires in Freeport, NY, please contact our team.
What is the rolling resistance of my tires?
Rolling resistance is traditionally measured using the SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) test procedure J1269. This method measures the force required to roll a tire against a dynamometer at a fixed speed of 50 mph. Given the vast number of tire products available, each potentially having a different rolling resistance, comprehensive testing is time-consuming and complex. Factors influencing rolling resistance include tread compound, construction, size, and tread pattern. To obtain reliable data, multiple tires must be tested in each configuration. Due to the extensive time required for testing, rolling resistance values are often estimated by independent organizations. Tire manufacturers like Tires Plus do not typically conduct rolling resistance tests themselves. For expert information about tires in Freeport, NY, please contact us.
What is speed rating?
A tire's speed rating indicates the maximum speed at which it can safely carry a load under specific conditions. This rating system, developed in Europe, uses letters from A to Z to represent certified speed ratings, ranging from 5 km/h (3 mph) to over 300 km/h (186 mph). It's important to note that this rating represents the top certified speed, not the tire's overall performance capability. The system has evolved over time to include higher speed categories, with W and Y symbols added for higher speeds. The speed rating is typically part of the tire's sizing or service description. For tires capable of speeds above 300 km/h (186 mph), a 'ZR' must appear in the size designation. Always consult the manufacturer for the maximum speed of Unlimited Z tires. For assistance with tire-related services, including tire and rim repair in Freeport, NY, please contact us.
What is the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and why is it important?
The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) is an electronic system in vehicles that monitors tire air pressure and alerts drivers when pressure is dangerously low, helping maintain tire safety and performance. It is mandated for most vehicles made after 2006.
