Possibly the worlds longest review but here it goes-
I can’t thank Neil (and any supporting staff) enough for everything they’ve done for me the past couple of weeks! My suv (a late model Saab) had been out of commission for TWO MONTHS due to a faulty PCM, and after attempting to have the necessary work done at 2 other shops to no avail I finally stumbled across Scruggs automotive. Neil was the first mechanic to answer my call with any measure of confidence and I was met with so much compassion and understanding when I explained my situation I could have cried. He scheduled me in immediately to see what we could do and even took my vehicle in slightly after hours due to a delay in the tow company I was using. Early on the next work day Neil called me not only to verify the issue was in fact the PCM, but to assure me that he had already found the correct replacement (a seemingly insurmountable task according to the last two shops) but that he could have it in as early as the next day and someone out to program it later in the week. AMAZING. The next day he called to say the gentleman would be at the shop the following day (Wednesday) to attempt to program it. Again, AMAZING. Wednesday Neil calls again to inform me that sadly the PCM guy wasn’t able to get into GMs system, but he had already located someone who could at a dealership, arranged a tow, and pressed the importance of a quick turnaround despite them being scheduled out for the next month. He wasn’t able to give me an exact timeline because of the schedule being so far out, but he was so sweet and reassured me that this was our best option moving forward. I don’t know what kind of magic this man managed to conjure up, but I got the most wonderful call yesterday morning (Monday) that he had driven, yes DRIVEN, my car back himself from williamsville to Elma and I now had a beautiful brand new PCM. He had done my much needed oil change, and he had completed their courtesy inspection. He walked through the to do list for my vehicle, was very patient in my lack of understanding and even offered to send over videos and detailed explanations, and worked out an arrangement for what needed to be done RIGHT NOW (my serpentine belt was dry rotted) and what could reasonably wait until I was back in full force from all of the missed work due to my vehicle being out of commission for two months. By the end of the day I’d received a message that my car was ready for pickup. When I tell you the waterworks began IMMEDIATELY. I picked up my vehicle, and when I got home I realized they had been given both my car keys (the fob works on one but it was insanely bent so the other had to be used to actually start the vehicle) and it wasn’t bent anymore so that was pretty lovely. A two month long nightmare for me turned into a beautiful exchange and was handled in one week start to finish. I cannot thank Neil and Scruggs enough for the compassion and expedience, and I’m so excited to have found a reliable place to bring my old cruddy cars moving forward.

I had a very serious engine issue that I had to make a major decision about. Ultimately, Neil helped figure out what the issue was and helped me without pressuring. I appreciated his honesty and I did follow through with the repair. So far so good. I have faith that they lookout for me in the future if needed and they worked quickly once the parts were available. Would recommend as a reputable place to have work done. Thank you very much.

Neil and the rest over at Scruggs are first class all the way. They jump right on the problem, will not only tell you what’s in need of fixing but will send pics and explanations.
Although not the least expensive auto shop but they are the best.
