Very dissatisfied. I have been going to this Mavis in Eastchester for years. We have purchased tires for all of our cars and never had any issues. I scheduled a NYS inspection for my car. When I got there I was told that they couldn’t perform the inspection because the machine was “broken”. They directed me to across the street to the gas station which I did and they told me that they could perform inspection my car. I proceeded with my Mavis appointment as I needed my tires checked and rotated. Mind you. My appointment was for 9am. At 10:30 I am called and told that I had a nail in my tire which could be repaired with a plug. It was at this point where things turned.
They proceeded to tell me that my tires were “expired” and I should replace all four tires. I had only purchased them in October of 2022 at this Mavis! He said my tread was fine but he didn’t think I was going to pass inspection!!! I opted for the plug. My car was then brought to the gas station (I didn’t know they were going to do that and I was grateful)
They didn’t charge me for the plug and I promptly went to the gas station. The gentleman said that my tires were fine I didn’t need new tires at all!! The gas station also informed me that Mavis has not performed inspections for at least 10 months because the machine has not been working . I was never called or told this beforehand. The website needs to be updated.
Why after all these years is Mavis trying to upsell its faithful customers? BTW they also wanted my to buy new windshield wipers! The gas station said my wipers were also fine. I am very disappointed. I don’t appreciate being taken advantage of.

My tire had a nail and the PSI was getting very low quickly. The person who helped me out was Daniel. They checked my tire and patched it up with no issues. I would recommend this place. The staff is friendly and helpful. I will come here again.

This Mavis always goes above and beyond every time I’m there. They are my go-to for new tires. They always make sure they’re finding reasonably priced tires that fit the needs for my car and they do everything in a timely manner. They’re always honest with what you need and never try to just sell you more. I recommend this place to everyone!

I have been using this Mavis Location for 20 yrs, the Manager then was Pete, an honest caring guy. I brought all 4 of my cars there. RECENTLY, on Sunday Feb 1, I was filling the tires with air since they were so low from the cold temperatures we have had. After I disconnected the air hose the inside of the valve core had broken off, in a panic, I over inflated the tire, screwed the valve cap on and ran up to Mavis a 10 minute drive. I went to the front desk it was just 4pm. Explained the situation. I told them all I need for you to do is unscrew the broken valve core and insert a new one. I explained I only had bought the tires about a year ago from them. The guy at the counter told me "Unfortunately, they only had one mechanic and they're not taking any more customers" and he wanted me to leave the car overnight for the next day. I told him if I had the tool myself I could fix it in 2 seconds, I'm more than happy to wait, this is a very an easy fix. The guy could care less and didn't even offer to look at it which was right outside their door.
I left totally disappointed.
Thinking quickly who would be open 4pm on a Sunday, I remembered a flat repair place on McLean Ave in Yonkers. Richard Tire repair. I brought the car to him and he knew exactly what to do, he unscrewed the valve core inserted a new one and told me I didn't owe him anything. Of coarse I paid him, It took him less than 30 seconds. A child could have fixed this. How can you have people working in a tire store not know how to unscrew a tire core? A simple fix in no time. It just goes to show you the bigger the company all they care about is the big stuff and not the little stuff after spending all that money with them. Terrible customer service. I never really leave bad reviews but this left a bad taste in my mouth.
