Mike is the absolute MAN! Not only did he take incredible care of us, but he was running the show like a pro — efficiently and effectively getting everyone taken care of during a super busy rush after the storm. You could tell he genuinely cared while still keeping things moving fast. He kicked off our vacation with top-tier customer service and set the tone for a great trip. Seriously, give that man a raise!

I was delayed and tried to call the location to report that I might miss the midnight free shuttle to the off-airport rental location. I was connected to a lady who told that if I missed the shuttle a cab could get me there before the office closed at 12:30 am. Missed the shuttle but did arrive by cab at the office at about 12:20. Locked up tight when I arrived. Got to pay for the cab ride back. I guess I wait in the terminal until 6am. Thanks a lot. Flights arrived on Wednesday, so I guess it was a slow night and ok to leave.

Our experience with Sixt was extremely disappointing.
When we picked up the car, the agent casually handed us the keys and said, “The car is on half, so just refuel it to half.” I specifically asked for clarification — to confirm we only needed to return it at half a tank — and the agent agreed. We made sure to return the vehicle slightly over half a tank to avoid any issues.
To our surprise, we later received a new invoice charging us $104 for a refueling fee.
When I called customer service, the first agent we spoke with was shocked after hearing what happened and transferred us to another department to escalate the issue. Unfortunately, the call dropped because that department was closed. I immediately called back and reached a different agent who insisted on speaking to my husband. After getting him on the line, we could hear the agent, but she said nothing and eventually hung up on us. It was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional.
Finally, I contacted Sixt through their online chat support and was able to secure a refund. The representative described it as a “gesture of goodwill,” but I made it clear this was not a favor — it was a wrongful charge that should never have been applied in the first place.
This was my first experience with Sixt, and it will absolutely be my last. In the past, we’ve had consistently better service with Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Budget Rent a Car, and Avis.
We were told the refund would be processed within 3–15 days. If it does not appear, we will be contacting our bank to dispute the charge.
Very disappointing experience overall.

Outstanding experience at the Sixt location at LGA and it is all thanks to Abdullah. He delivered stellar customer service from start to finish — friendly, efficient, and highly professional. Both pickup and drop-off were handled smoothly and quickly, making the entire rental process stress-free. Abdullah provided Truly top-tier service and a great representation of the brand. For a second, I thought Abdullah was a manager at the branch because he treated me like family instead of just another random customer. I would gladly rent here again.

Literally just happened now. 7am February 3rd. I booked a reservation with this location as I live walking distance. I was greeted my a white male at the counter who treated me like a criminal. He asked where i was driving to, can he remove the sticker off my new card, took pictures of my license (which i did on the app for faster process to pick up) he asked for my personal insurance number when i declined additional coverage. I attempted to read the number to him off my phone —he asked for my phone as if i was lying about having insurance !! He then made up Sixt couldn’t take a revel credit card as it was “unsecured” and a “online bank” … took an 3min uber to Avis, used the same card and was out in 3 minutes. I will never attempt to rent from Sixt ANYWHERE
