The wisest choice I made was to purchase a battery from Advance Auto Parts on Transit road in East Amherst where they installed it free of charge! The nice man who took care of me demonstrated exemplary customer service - the old school kind that you rarely, if ever, receive these day!!! Not only was the price of the battery good, the customer service is what will keep me coming back! Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
