Oil change was fast and making an appointment was easy. The tech didn't tell me about the free car wash coupon, I had to figure it out for myself. The car wash seemed to be broken and it wasn't until after I entered the code for the free wash that I figured that out. Great perk, I wish it would have worked out. I also get coupons all year long for service and of course I forgot it. Missed out on saving some money. Every little bit counts! Will always recommend Joe Basil for the great service they provide.

Stay far away from Joe basil Chevrolet and the used cars at 5117 transit. We had an appointment scheduled and we didn’t even get to talk to the person we were scheduled with. We were greeted by bill kreher and from the start he did not listen to what we wanted. We told him two vehicles we were interested in and wanted to see. He shows us they were Available which we already knew. He then tried to get us to drive something w le weren’t interested in. We then take a test drive of the traverse but not the one we were interested in. He then goes to get information and comes back. Asks about credit score, down payment and we can get this done today. When asking about credit he’s like oh that’s really rough. Then explains the vehicle and my husband and I at that point decided we were walking due to how rude he was. We then said we need more time to think and he started shouting at us well what happened? I thought you wanted this. What changed. What changed after he was rude about credit. We then left and went to basil resale on Sheridan found the same vehicle less miles, test drove it and were approved for credit no problems. We even drove it home that day. Never again. We will stay far far away from transit and tell everyone we know to do the same thing. If we could give no stars we would. So rude and embarrassing to be treated this way. Not a way to sell cars.

Initially I was looking for an EV pickup, but just missed the deadline for the Federal rebate. My second choice was to find a hybrid pickup but GM doesn't offer one. But Ricardo at Joe Basil steered me to a perfect alternative, a 4-cylinder full size Silverado with turbo boost that gets Hybrid gas mileage but with a full size pickup body, and in my preferred color silvery Grey. He worked with me to price a 3 year lease with 12k mi./year within my budget and gave me fair Market Market prices for 2 trade-in vehicles. The whole process was surprisingly easy and I couldn't be happier with the product. I'm a first-time leaser but I wish I had known earlier that the process could be so easy and affordable as it was working with Joe Basil Chevrolet

I was a customer of this dealership from 2018 until this year, leasing 3 trucks and buying one car. To be positive, I can say that they do have good deals on vehicles . My issues have been with the staff. Half of them are awesome and the other half are not. Dealing with Peter in service was my final straw. He was a total jerk to me when I was trying to describe to him an audio issue had with my 2023 Silverado. The audio would cut out periodically , starting the day I picked the truck up. You can google the issue and many videos will appear because it is a common problem. He gave me attitude and I gave it right back, to the point I almost walked right into a manger’s office to give the truck back. Instead, I found my salesman, Jake ( one of the good ones), on the showroom floor and vented my frustration to him. I calmed down and left with the truck still dealing with the audio continuously cutting out from time to time. Thanks to YouTube, I found a way to reset it to get the audio back. YouTube was more helpful than Peter. This incident happened about 2 years ago, but it prompted me to have that truck serviced at West Herr Chevrolet for the remainder of the lease. Then I went to Northtown for my new lease. I know it’s hard to get and keep good employees, but there should be strict guidelines for these people. It amazes me how some of them are still employed there. The good ones seem to leave. I will never recommend or do business with any Basil dealership ever again.

I absolutely cannot recommend Joe Basil Chevrolet. Due to inventory, we were forced to go outside of our preferred West Herr dealership, but never again. I’d rather wait for a vehicle from a reputable and honest dealership than go to Joe Basil Chevrolet.
We had to purchase a used SUV after our family vehicle was stolen from my work parking lot. The insurance payout gave thousands less than purchasing a comparable family SUV actually costs. The insurance payout amount along with the fact that we were shopping used vehicles with limited availability due to being at the mercy of what is traded at any dealership across the area at Christmas time, severely limited our options. Security features, after being a victim of car theft, were extremely important.
The floor/sales employees understood the reality but the management severely lack compassion, caring only about the dollar signs and not the person or situation behind those dollar signs.
When we asked if they could match or come closer to our insurance pay out, the manager stated that the cost cannot be adjust as “they paid too much for the trade”…the dealer’s poor financial trade decision was not my fault.
Next, management attempted to push delivery to close the month by offering to accept a personal check for the sale and stating the check would not be cashed until the next week. I declined because the payout was still pending but the offer to pay with a personal check was revoked four days later when we were headed to sign and pick up the vehicle. They were only willing to accept the personal check to suit their needs to add the vehicle sale before the end of the month.
Finally, at delivery when we requested the second key prior to leaving, they could not locate it and promised to have it to us within the next couple of days. This turned into a week, then, suddenly, we were told there was only a single key with this vehicle, even though at delivery we were promised the second key. Then we were told the vehicle was priced as it was because there was only one key….but, remember, we were told earlier the vehicle was priced due to their poor trade price/negotiation. Additionally, when finally speaking to some after a dozen messages, the Director blamed the salesman for providing inaccurate information regarding the existence of the second key and further added that he normally sells new cars, that come with two keys. The salesman offered his commission to contribute to the cost of obtaining the second vehicle key - but it shouldn’t be on him. The management did nothing to support the sales consultant and even blamed him for the misinformation, not the lack of management or training by the management! When I said to the Director the sales consultant offered his commission to offset our cost of making the promised key, the director stated that it was the sales consultants error and he needs to be accountable, never commending his character for doing what was actually right. Not a single employee that we interacted with - the sales consultant nor neither business managers that we discussed financing with and then signed papers with at delivery - told us there was just one key for this vehicle. I was told by the Resale Director that “we don’t have $300 to make you that key”, among other absurd excuses. Making a key or covering the cost of the optional key replacement policy ($250) that we thankfully purchased but should not have to use immediately were two very fair options for them to make it right, but they sold the car, received their money lack the morals to make the situation right.
The managers over at Joe Basil definitely do not do the right thing. To the managers, it’s all about profit, not about treating people like humans and doing the right thing. Disgusting. The vehicle suited our family’s immediate physical and mental needs after car theft and was available from this dealership - the vehicle was not a mistake but doing business with this management team at Joe Basil Chevrolet is a huge regret. I will NEVER recommend Joe Basil to anyone.
