    I had a great experience at the Mavis Tire in Coram. Micky was extremely kind and helpful, and he gave me a very reasonable price for my service. We talked during my entire wait, which really made the time go by quickly and made the place feel like a family business rather than a typical shop. The customer service was excellent, and I felt comfortable and valued the whole time. I would definitely come back to this store again in the future.

    GREAT experience at this Mavis. It was my first time here after moving away from a different Mavis location I used, and I was very happy with the incredible, fast and exceptional service provided, by friendly and knowledgable employees — especially Austin and Neil, who I have to give a shoutout to. I’m excited to continue using this Mavis location for all my future car needs :)

    Picked up a big nail in the tire of my work car... long story short, it was not repairable since I chose to drive here on it about 5 miles after filling up w my coworkers air compressor. (Better to keep my student drivers safe and sacrifice a tire than risk changing it in December on the side of the road with 4 students, with dusk approaching!) My manager wouldn't buy a tire here since the car only has 4500 miles on it and it's under warranty- I had to get it to the dealer it was purchased from quickly; needing to work at 6:30 AM and this was around 4:15 PM on a Friday... Despite not buying a tire they were able to get the donut spare on for me FAST and saved the day... Thank you to Mickey, Neil, and Nims!

    Initially I came in for an oil change 11/19/2025, however to my surprise the staff here suggested I should do my rotors and brakes replacement. Which lasted 3 hours when I only expected a 15min- 1 hour wait. They also suggested changing my tires but I said I could another day. I made an appointment for 11/26/2025. A few days short of this I never expected that Saturday on my way to work around 10AM  11/22/2025 the breaks started making an awful sound. I never expected to have such a horrid sound since they were brand new. So I decided to continue to drive 2 more streets but the sound remains. When I got to the stop sign, my car shook and abruptly stopped. I gave it gas but it didn’t move. I went to check if there was possibly something stuck like a branch or animal . As I stopped  the car I noticed a line forming behind me since I couldn’t move the car. A pedestrian saw my situation, helped review my car. Robert, the sir I met informed me that the caliper of the right back tire was loose; it only had one bolt, when it usually has two. The left back side tire was fine. I took pictures of everything before and after visually showing the missing bolt, when i got help removing the tire. Luckily Robert placed his own used old bolt that he had in his truck , since  he happened to be a mechanic. I was extremely lucky that he was present right when I needed him. If not I would’ve had to contact a tow truck. I insisted I should still come back to Mavis to fix it and get my original bolt that came with my car. I return to Mavis 5 mins later immediately to explain the occurrence. Next the staff tightens the bolt and says you’re ready to go. They took no accountability nor did they replace the bolt with an original one. The lack of professionalism is evident after this situation. I kept asking to replace it or at least give me the one I came with in my own car. They refused, as well as threatened to call the police since my car had a lingering smell from smoking. Yet I had to remind them that I came for a service not an inspection of my car. It was absolutely none of his business, but his actual business there was no attention to that. Finally they agreed for me to come on Monday 11/23/2025. I come on Monday and they’re unprepared. They had no bolts, and declined my refund request. So I insisted once again, so that’s when the sir with the glasses refused to give me their names. At this point they move the appt to Wednesday November 26,2025. I had to call out of work just to return once more. It’s not fair to me to lose time from work and lose money on inefficient labor. Ultimately, I'm not returning. It was a bad experience, the workers are still here like nothing occurred, I had no refund. I feel completely taken advantage of. I will not return and don’t recommend.
