My 92-year-old mother, a long-time loyal customer, called to schedule an appointment because her car was leaking. She isn’t a car expert, so she mentioned it might be an oil leak. She dropped the car off at the Goodyear on Middle Country Road in Corona at 9 a.m. and didn’t get a call back until 5 p.m. They told her there was no oil leak, but instead tried to sell her unnecessary “preventative maintenance” services. She ended up with a $380 bill — and the very next morning, the car was leaking again. It turned out her struts were leaking the whole time. They never even put her car on a lift to check properly! They lied and sent her home with the issue unfixed. A complaint was filed with Goodyear Corporate, who confirmed the shop should have caught the problem.
