I had such a great experience at Mavis Tire Center! They took me in right on time for my appointment, which I really appreciated. The bathroom was clean and fully stocked with sanitary products — a small detail, but it shows they care about their customers, especially women.
The front desk staff was super friendly and helpful from start to finish. They made everything easy and were very professional. Overall, I left really impressed and will definitely be coming back!

Horrible experience went in for pads and caliber after they ordered the wrong pads they attempted to put caliber on wrong side that needed it. Was told I had a clogged brake line and would take 2 days for a new one. They sent me home with only one working brake. Took it to another mechanic and found a pair of vice grips connected to the brake line causing the so call clog. Waited over 5 hours for something that should take 2. Very dangerous situation I wouldn’t let them fix anything again.

If you value your time, do not go here. I don’t think they understand the meaning of the word appointment. It’s something that you schedule, then show up at said time, and the service begins. I understand that sometimes a place of business is running a few minutes behind. But waiting over an hour for a tire rotation is absurd. A TIRE ROTATION. I left after waiting over an hour. One person in the waiting room was waiting over 5 hours for brakes, and a woman was waiting over half an hour to plug a hole in her tire. All had appointments.
Saying this place is mismanaged is being kind. I would be embarrassed if this were one of my businesses.
So over one hour wasted and no tire rotation.
Steer clear of this place unless you don’t value your time. You’re better off going to that tire shop on depot road in Huntington station.
No need for Customer solutions or whoever responds to these reviews to write back and instruct me to call the 914 number and choose option 2. This place has been racking up 1 star reviews faster than a knife fight in a phone booth.
My advice is to install clocks and teach the manager how to read it. I’ve been a long time mavis customer with dozens of tire purchased. Never again with this place. Good luck if you go here. You’ll need it.

I don’t usually take the time to write reviews, but Nicole at Mavis absolutely deserves the recognition. From the moment I walked in, she treated me like more than just another customer — she treated me like a person who mattered. Her energy, kindness, and professionalism immediately stood out. You can tell she truly cares about helping people and takes pride in her work.
Nicole went above and beyond to make sure everything was done right. She took the time to explain what was going on, walked me through every detail, and made sure I understood my options before making any decisions. She was patient, honest, and never once made me feel pressured or rushed. In a world where customer service can sometimes feel rushed or robotic, Nicole brought genuine care and humanity back into the experience.
What really impressed me was how she balanced being knowledgeable and professional with being warm and approachable. She has this rare ability to make you feel completely taken care of — like you’re in good hands. Her positive attitude was contagious, and she kept a smile on her face even when things got busy.
It’s not every day you meet someone who truly goes the extra mile for their customers, but Nicole did that and more. People like her are the reason loyal customers keep coming back. Mavis is lucky to have her she represents the company with integrity, compassion, and excellence.
If you ever visit Mavis, ask for Nicole. She’ll turn what could be a stressful experience into something smooth, reassuring, and even uplifting. Thank you, Nicole, for your incredible service — you really made my day!

Mavis Tire of Commack was very painful to deal with especially the individual claiming to be the Assistant Manager. Went in to Mavis of Commack to have them look at tire tread depth and she (Assistant Manager) said we needed new tires. We didn't drive anywhere near 40,000 on the tires, which was the Bridgestone treadwear mileage warranty, so we should be covered under the warranty. I asked about filing a mileage warranty claim. She told me Mavis doesn't file manufacturer mileage warranty claims, it was between the customer and the tire manufacturer. I figured OK, I'll give Bridgestone a call and get the ball rolling. I got home and called Bridgestone who directed me back to Mavis of Commack saying an Authorized Bridgestone dealer (Mavis) would have to process the warranty after analyzing my tires and mileage. I then called Mavis of Commack back and spoke with another employee who said the manager at Mavis of Commack was supposed to process a mileage warranty and transferred me to the Assistant Manager again who tried to blow more smoke and mirrors. She said that no one has ever come in there to facilitate a mileage warranty as if I were nuts or something. She said I would have needed to have purchased a roadside warranty in order for them to process a mileage warranty. What? She doesn't know the difference between a Mavis roadside vs Bridgestone tread mileage warranty? Then she said, my tires weren't low enough to process the warranty. So now she knows about tire mileage warranties? And, now I don't need new tires? So I asked at what tread level would they be able to process the warranty, and she said she didn't know. You see where this was going? I did mention Mavis is an Authorized Bridgestone dealer and they would need to honor Bridgestone's warranties as the retail arm of Bridgestone, but she couldn't grasp the concept. She was also notably unprofessional in her overall tone and content. I couldn't tell if she was completely incompetent or just being difficult, but either way she was a real challenge to deal with. She gave me the Mavis HQ number and said call them for more information because she had no idea mileage warranties. After basically hanging up on me, I called the Mavis Corp Headquarters and subsequently spoke with the nicest person, who laughed and said the person at Commack Mavis did not know what she was talking about and began processing the mileage warranty claim for me. They said the claim would be forwarded back to a local Mavis store of my choosing to analyze my tires and finalize the mileage warranty process.
BTW, did I tell you Mavis of Commack had originally installed two different manufacturer tires and sizes on each side of our car. In fact it was leaning to one side after installation. The folks at Mavis Commack are pretty incompetent in my opinion. I will absolutely never go back there again and will continuously warn others about my experience with Mavis Tire of Commack.
