My car broke down on the snowy day and was completely dead, thankfully right next to the Autozone store in Commack. I went in to ask if they could help me with the battery, and the very kind manager, Ruth, allowed associate Jose to change the battery for me. Jose was an angel from the start, super friendly, polite, and an excellent worker. He changed my battery, which, by the way, was not easy at all. So I'm truly grateful for their help.

- MMMarie MateyunasDec 1, 20255.0I just wanted to share my experience with purchasing a battery for my car at Auto Zone in Commack. It was Thanksgiving weekend and my battery died on Saturday.. Of course it was a day we had gale force winds and it was freezing cold! A perfect day to jump start a car! Thankfully, I got it started... Then left it running so I could research batteries online for a 2008 Volvo XC90... Thankfully, I found one to purchase at AUTO ZONE in COMMACK and ordered it for pick up. I figured I would try installing it myself since my repair shop is closed on weekends... I received the ready for pick up email very quickly. :) So I headed out to get the battery. When I arrived I was greeted by a wonderful store associate, Jose C. He asked how he could help and I mentioned I was here to pick up the battery I ordered. I told him I was going to take a crack at installing it myself. Well, the next thing I know he said " I WILL INSTALL IT FOR YOU"! My mouth dropped, OMG... What a Blessing! Out he went, with NO COAT ON, battery in hand. He opened the hood and I showed him what I thought was the battery. This was not the main battery, it was the auxiliary battery... Well, I used it to jump the car and it worked.. What did I know.. After looking at the manual Jose was able to locate the main battery, which was in my cargo area under the floor. He removed the floor panel easily because there was nothing in the way. Then removed the battery cover, clamps and bolts and out came the old battery and in went the new one. He put everything back perfectly and the car started right up!! :)))) Another Blessing!!!! Thank you so much Jose!!! All I can say I am very grateful to have had such outstanding customer experience with Jose C from AUTO ZONE. He went above and beyond what I ever expected! We all know how difficult it is to get help in the stores these days. So when someone goes out of their way to help I believe they need to be recognized!! I highly recommend you check out Auto Zone in Commack!
