- SMSteve MatsonNov 7, 20251.0Beware of their "limited lifetime warranty". I paid extra for that warranty 5 years ago and it quit working with 60,000 miles on it. The factory alternator lasted 85,000 miles for 8 years. The average alternator lasts 8-10 years and 80-120,000 miles. The "limited" part must mean the manager can say it's normal wear and tear even though it's inferior parts that could last no longer. They should take the "lifetime" out of it and just call it a limited warranty. I miss the old days when a company would stand behind their products and will never buy parts there again
