I took my vehicle in the shop for a windshield install, was told the tech did not want to do it because of rust and suggested i take it to a body shop, and that they will come back out next day after they body shop prepares the vehicle. I did that, and safelite now can not come back out for 4 days! I now will get hit with starage fees by the body shop.... $25 dollars a day. Safelite will only service brand new vehicles. Safelite screwed me, now I am without a vehicle for 4 days and I have to pay another $100. Go somewhere else for glass repair, even if you have to pay more.

When we first began to do business with safelite it took 3 days to get financing and then get the vehicle in. We drove 40 minutes and back for them to call and have us take it to a bodyshop for some repairs. They then upped the price for the winshield the 2nd time around. The 2nd time around they knew we were at the body shop and and appointment was made for install. Safelite called and canceled right after the bodyshop was done with their work. Safelite told us Thurs they could fix it AFTER we had the appointment already for today Monday. People have lives and work. Avoid safelite. Not only did we have to pay more but we waisted time money and gas.

Absolutely ridiculous, nonsensical service at Safelite 1672 Clinton St. Made an appointment for them to come to me for windshield replacement but Safelite rep called and asked me to come in for the replacement because of the weather...no problem. Made a 3pm appointment for the next week. The day before the appointment, I finish my work day and check my messages and have a text saying if I don't confirm by 5pm, they will have to cancel...which is a stupid policy in the first place...but I confirm at 5pm exactly. The next morning, I get a text reminding me of my 3pm appointment. Show up at 3pm and the front desk rep says they cannot do it because they won't be enough daylight to complete the job, which doesn't make sense. There was a big indoor shop...do they not take the car inside to work on the car? If they are working on it outside, then why make me come to the shop in first place? So they called me the day before and texted to confirm my appointment, which I did, only to tell me in person at the time of the appointment they can't do it?? Saying it should have been scheduled for around 1pm?? That'd an internal problem. Why have people scheduled for a time that is too late for you to do the work? And then why confirm that time? Why not call me the morning of if you have no intention of keeping your side of the agreed upon time? Does any of this make any sense?

Went for replacement of windshield and asked if they could replace new molding I provided from dealer , they said sure but then called and stated molding was no good. Said ok just replace windshield which they said they could not without new molding, advised them I would pickup car and replace it elsewhere. Other shop had no problem with replacing new glass and molding.
