  The Buffalo location of Alamo has been great. We've used it the past 3 times and the people there are really nice, care about your experience and get us in and out very quickly.

  The pickup process was exceptional - my friend and I had all of our questions answered by the employee at the desk - he even went out of his way to call others to get the information we needed. The vehicle was ready and clean and easy to drive away. The vehicle itself had a couple flaws such as the 2nd row automatic seat fold was broken and the handling in the snow was sub par, but that is at no fault of Alamo. Claire was extremely helpful during the return process and she waited patiently as I went over my concerns with the car, and provided a discount for the troubles. Alamo always provides great service and if there is any issue they resolve it quickly and efficiently.

  I’m writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent rental experience. I reserved an SUV with a quoted rental cost of $257. Upon arrival, I was informed that because my credit card was issued by Chime, I was not eligible to receive the SUV I reserved and could only rent a compact vehicle instead. I was also told that an additional $400 security deposit was required, despite being informed that the standard deposit is typically $200. Neither the vehicle restriction nor the higher deposit requirement was disclosed during the reservation process. What made this situation more frustrating is that Chime is an FDIC-insured financial institution. Treating it as “not a bank” for rental eligibility purposes without clearly disclosing this policy in advance felt outdated and misleading. Had this information been clearly stated at the time of booking, I would have made different arrangements. Being informed of these conditions only at the counter left me with limited options and resulted in an experience that felt avoidable and poorly communicated. I’m providing this feedback because policies that materially affect vehicle class eligibility and deposit amounts should be clearly and transparently disclosed before a reservation is completed. I hope Alamo reviews how these policies are presented to customers to prevent similar situations in the future. Thank you for taking the time to review my feedback.
