  My whole Safelite experience was excellent! I had been trying to replace my front windshield for 9+ months, including quotes from the original dealer (Honda) and then eventually learning that my regular mechanic doesn't do windshields any more. A friend told me that Safelite will actually come to ME to do the repair, and sure enough they did. And the whole process was extremely easy and convenient, including the technician being excellent. AND it was cheaper than both my earlier quotes.

  My windshield sustained a crack in the heated wiper park area due to an inside the glass wire malfunction. Since it was served prior at Safelite in Brooklyn I came back for replacement. It started very nice . When I asked how much a new windshield was, I was told that since there are no sign of any outer impact or other forcible actions and because the heating grit wire melted it is under warranty and free of charge. I scheduled an appointment and when I came for service after an hour wait was informed that the new arrived replacement came scratched therefore it can not be installed and I need to come another time. I scheduled another appointment. When I came to be served again I was advised that the job takes about two hours to complete. After about an hour and a half the new windshield arrived. A person came out from the shop and started to inspect my damaged windshield again , although it was inspected twice before by four or five Safelite workers. All of a sudden he said that he does not think that it is under the warranty because that is what he thinks. When I pointed out that the damage was inspected twice by his own crew he made a statement that they know nothing about repairs and he is the only expert and knows how to run the business . I was amazed by his rude statement toward his own employees . Can someone explain why Safelite hires worthless and not qualified people to work ? I tried to explain that it is purely a defect inside the glass since all of his workers checked the windshield very thoroughly every time of my appointments and could not find any traces of an outer impact . He became enraged and started to almost physically push me out of the parking lot. I asked who he was , his title , his name and his business card because I had never seen him before . He said that his name is John , that he is the manager , but he manages a different location , that he has no business card and he will not reveal his last name. I did not want to go home with a damaged windshield , so I offered to replace it. I will pay for it and then I will sue Safelite. He said that he does not need my money and will not serve me . I did not want to escalate this very unpleasant situation and left. I filed a complaint with the Safelite headquarters . I received b/s answer that they are sorry that I disagree with the crew assessment and may visit another Safelite location for another evaluation. Since I lost my trust in Safelite integrity and did not know if another location manager will be honest or dishonest as in Brooklyn but had to go to another location in order not to breach the warranty I took my car to an independent dealer for examination. He inspected the damage , made a video of it , and gave me a receipt stating that indeed it is an internal damage due to a wire malfunction. He even called Safelite and explained the cause of the damage .When I came to Safelite located in Queens Village the manager was very honest and after inspecting the damage admitted that it was a faulty wire . He scheduled an appointment and the job was done without any problems , neat and fast. I spent a lot of time , nerves and money to solve this problem that was created by the Safelite Brooklyn Branch . I informed the main office about my intention of suing Safelite Brooklyn Location. After a few weeks when I was ready to file my claim in the court I received a phone call from a gentleman who is a Safety , Quality and Training Manager for Safelite . I dont want to reveal his name for now. He offered to send me a check in the amount of $136.09 that I paid for independent evaluation . I accepted his proposal . It was March 20 2026. I removed my negative feedback from Google and did not file the claim, but guess what... More than a month passed and the check never got in my mailbox. Ok . I will file the claim in the court next week. My advice to everyone in need of glass repair/replacement. NEVER EVER VISIT SAFELITE . Stay away from crooked enterprises and you will preserve your health .

  The Safelite folks have the whole process wired: streamlined web site with great texting UX; deep product knowledge; SOA geographic data; and a no-fuss link to insurance. Only downside is it's not curbside in NYC. I had to bring it to a shop.

  Had to go back 5 times for a windshield replacement on my range rover and it still was not done correctly. 1st-they installed the inspection sticker on the passenger side 2nd-Next day I was driving on the highway and the entire windshield molding on the right side came out 3rd- When I took the car back to fix the molding they said it was not installed correctly and the windshield was not aligned correctly due to a bad cut. 4th - Molding came out again, and the windshield still was not aligned but they refused to fix it because it was a cosmetic issue and it was an aftermarket windshield. I had no idea they were going to use an aftermarket windshield, there are still gaps between the molding and the glass. 5th- Molding came out again when I was driving locally. Imagine going back 5 times over the span of three weeks to replace one windshield that still has gaps between the moldings. Will be taking it to auto repair shop to get it properly fixed.
