  Please run far, far away from Sixt! I booked a car via Expedia. I had to pay immediately, which was a week before the actual booking. Upon my arrival, they refused to rent me a car because my license had a crack. TSA and other rental car companies have had no problem using my license. They apologize and don't rent me the vehicle. They promise they will issue a refund immediately. I get no email, no verification of cancellation, etc. I reach out to Expedia after a couple of business days, and they say everything is issued through Sixt. I went there, and they said they cancelled. They acted "shocked"; I didn't get a cancellation or refund. All the while, they are whispering to each other that they don't know what to do! I reached out to Expedia again, and they said they can't do anything. Nonsense. I will never rent from them again, and I hope you don't either. How can you charge me for a car I never received or used? I usually go to Enterprise or Avis, and will continue to do so. Extremely disappointing!

  This is my second time in two months using Sixt! Queenie helped my friend and I get our car for a trip to New England, she was great! GK helped with another trip and was able to give me some more time. Very personable and professional service here!

  SIXT has gotta be the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced at a car rental shop. Our initial pickup wasn’t ready until 45 minutes after the scheduled time, during which we waited around in the garage as a loud beeping blared and were given miniature towels (??) as a consolation gift for the delay. Picking up another SIXT rental in Virginia for the return trip was just as frustrating, with hostile service and inconsistent rules around payment methods. Drop off wasn’t entirely painless but not necessarily smooth sailing, either. Best I can say is that the cars are in good condition, run well, and have plenty of modern amenities for travel. But I’m not sure the hassle is worth it.

  THE WORST CAR COMPANY! DO NOT GET A CAR FROM THEM! They are scammers. They will send you INCORRECT toll bill and charge your card for tolls you never took! They cannot provide you with any proof of any sort and tell you that you have to contact the toll authority & when you do, there is no bill from the tolling company. They hire a bunch of kids to respond to emails and they cannot provide you with anything concrete to show what they’re charging you for. There so called bills are always “SIXT bill” and never anything explaining exactly what the “bill” is for! THE WORST!

  We dropped off our rental on the agreed-upon date and before the agreed-upon time. This morning, we received an email asking if we wanted to extend the reservation, which I initially assumed was a simple system error. Unfortunately, it wasn’t. The company recorded the vehicle as being returned today, not on the actual drop-off date. I was then informed that we would be charged due to their error, with the assurance that they would “fix it” after contacting the Dean St. location to investigate. Now we’re left waiting to see how long it will take them to correct a mistake that shouldn’t have happened in the first place. Dean Street, do better. Nobody has time for this nonsense.
