  If I could give zero stars, I would. What should have been a simple oil change at this Mavis turned into a serious mechanical hazard and a month‑long runaround. First, the technicians lost our wheel locks—an early sign that things were not being handled properly. Then, we discovered that they never replaced the oil filler cap. For five days, the engine bay was sprayed with oil, creating strong fumes and making the car unsafe to drive. When we brought the issue back to the store, the manager admitted the mistake and authorized us (on a recorded call) to take the car to Honda for repairs, promising full reimbursement. We submitted all receipts in person the same week. That was over a month ago. Since then, we’ve called multiple times and were told “someone will call back,” but no one ever has. Staff repeatedly refused to give the district manager’s name. One manager even refused to give his own name. We finally had to call a different Mavis location, where the staff—much more professional—provided the district management info and even confirmed that this store has had similar issues before. This experience has been unprofessional, evasive, and unacceptable, especially after a clear mechanical mistake that could have resulted in real damage or danger. We are now preparing formal complaints and legal steps since the reimbursement agreement was never honored. Save yourself the headache — choose another repair shop.

  I made an appointment online for a NY State inspection. I showed up on time and the person at the front desk said the inspector had left early, and was rude and unapologetic. It would have been nice if they had bothered to contact me before I arrived

  "It's just a tire shop.." WRONG! I have visited many MAVIS locations and this one, for me, is the BEST. Every time I come in the service team (JOHN and FERNANDO especially) is AMAZING. They treat me like family. They are quick to get my car into the bay, and they never try to "upsell" me on services I do not need. In fact, on my latest visit I accidentally left my hoodie behind on the chair in the waiting room. I called as soon as I realized my mistake and FERNANDO was kind enough to hold on to it until I could come back the next day to pick it up. Small gesture, perhaps, but THIS is what CUSTOMER SERVICE is all about. I grew up in a small town where everybody "knows" everybody, so moving to the big city where everyone is just "a number," makes it hard to find an auto repair shop you can TRUST. I TRUST Mavis at this location on the corner of Boston Road and Conner Street. Please go in and see JOHN or FERNANDO. You will be treated with kindness, respect, and dignity. Yes, you can take my word for it.

  Had such a great experience at this location today that I just had to leave a review! I came in this morning pretty stressed because I knew I had a leaking tire valve. From the moment I walked in, Fernando and Peter were incredibly kind, professional, and reassuring. They didn’t brush me off - they listened, told me they’d get it taken care of. The wait time was short, and before I knew it, they called to let me know my car was ready. When I went back to pay, I was honestly shocked at how affordable the total was. In a world where so many places try to overcharge or convince you that you need extra services, this location truly stands out. They were honest, efficient, and clearly care about serving their customers well. It’s rare to find auto shops that make you feel comfortable and respected, especially as a woman walking in alone, but I felt completely taken care of here. The shop was clean, organized, and the whole team seemed to work well together. They’ve absolutely earned a customer for life. I’ll be coming back for inspections and any future car needs without hesitation. Highly recommend this location if you want trustworthy, fast, and affordable service!

  Had a flat tire on the highway, and limped to the shop on my run flat tire on the way to a funeral several hundred miles away from home. Even though we didn't have any appointment, Fernando did an excellent job getting me worked into the schedule and providing me advice on what to do in this unexpected situation. With his help, we were back on the road in a couple hours. Thanks for your help, Mavis team - and in particular, Fernando, for helping us make that funeral. It was one less worry on an incredibly stressful day.
