We rented a car from enterprise, had it for day. When we return the car at 4:45, there was a note on the door that said they were out of the office & to use the drop box to return the car. We waited an hour, but had to leave so we used the drop box. Two days later we got the receipt for a 2 day rental. The bill claims we returned the car at 7:25. The location closes at 6pm. I contacted the national phone number. They apologized and told me that they would forward my complaint to the location to have the bill corrected. The bill has not been corrected. It's been a week. Enterprise has lost a customer who has been renting from them for well over thirty years.
To add insult to injury, they charged us for gas. We we gassed the car down the block from the location. We returned the car with exactly how much gas was in the tank when we picked it up. This may have been our fault since we didn't check the gas level on the contract versus what was actually in the car. But then again, they don't give paper contracts anymore. At least we didn't get one. I wanted to post an update. The manager called me today, he promised to fix the bill. I will let everyone know if this is resolved

I normally don’t write reviews, but my experience with Enterprise has been nothing short of infuriating. Nearly 10 months ago, I rented a vehicle from them that turned out to have expired registration. As a result, I received $250 worth of tickets—tickets that were entirely Enterprise’s fault.
Despite acknowledging the issue early on, they have refused to issue my refund for almost a year. What’s worse, I’ve been ignored repeatedly—emails and calls go unanswered, and every time I manage to reach someone, I’m given the same empty promises or told to “resend documents” they’ve already had.
To make matters worse, this entire ordeal unfolded during one of the most difficult periods of my life—I lost my father and had to move out of the area shortly after all this happened. Even so, I’ve tried time and time again to resolve the situation calmly and professionally. Instead, I’ve been met with complete indifference.
Now, after months of silence, they’re suddenly demanding copies of the tickets that I no longer have—tickets they should have record of, since the expired registration was their own violation. The lack of accountability, empathy, and customer care from Enterprise has been astounding.
I would strongly advise anyone considering renting from them to think twice. If this is how they treat loyal customers when their own negligence causes the problem, imagine how they’ll handle anything else that goes wrong.
