- SJsamantha jaserJan 1, 20261.0I had a very regrettable experience at this Jiffy Lube and have never been back to any Jiffy Lube shop ever since. I would advise against anyone from bringing their car here. I went to this location for a state inspection. As soon as I arrived and told them why I was there, the worker immediately claimed that my entire windshield needed to be replaced because it was “broken.” This was simply not true. I explained to them that the rubber lining was peeling, which does not mean the windshield itself is damaged or needs replacement. Right off the bat, that raised red flags for me. They proceeded with the inspection and then told me my car failed for safety reasons, claiming there was an issue with the left front tie rod end and that the boot was torn. They attempted to upsell me on a couple of repairs, which I declined. I found it hard to believe and trust them after this nonsense they told me in the beginning. Because I felt uncomfortable and suspected dishonesty, I took the failed inspection report to another auto shop the same day. Three mechanics there all inspected my car and all agreed that the referenced part was not broken, there was no play in the steering or suspension, and the suspension was tight and sound. They even pulled up the NY state inspection requirements and explained to me the exact terminology and how/why the Jiffy Lube was totally wrong about what they were claiming. They told me plainly that I was being lied to and that the car should have passed inspection. Their advice was to return to Jiffy Lube and insist on being passed. When I called Jiffy Lube afterward, the manager stood by the failed inspection, refused a refund, and denied any wrongdoing. I then had the second shop complete the inspection, and my car passed without issue. I have no choice but to conclude that Jiffy Lube engages in dishonest upselling and false claims about necessary repairs. They likely pressure people during inspections when they are more agreeable to pay for what they think are necessary repairs to pass. I feel bad for anyone duped by their lies. I don't trust them and I will never return. I would urge others to avoid!

Explained everything they needed to do and why ot should be done. I have used this jiffy lube before but never recieved the service I did today! He is a Rockstar!

They told me machine was not working to come back next week. Came back this Sunday (today) and they tell me no Inspection tech here on Sundays. Which one is it? Machine broke or no Tech? Either it’s laziness or it’s an inconvenience for them to do an inspection. Won’t be bringing my business back to them anymore. Sorry. Not sorry.
