  I had a great experience at Mavis, the staff was friendly, professional, and easy to talk to. They took the time to explain what was going on with my car without trying to upsell me on things I didn’t need, which I really appreciated.

  Stopped in this morning with a nail in the tire on my Volvo. I could’ve gone to the dealership, but chose to come here—and I’m glad I did. I’ve also used this location for my Tesla, including a prior tire issue, and had a great experience (honestly better and far more cost-effective than going through an authorized shop). For anyone who thinks you have to go to the dealer for these cars—you don’t. Back to today—Andre (I believe the manager) took care of me right away. The team was excellent. The nail/metal piece was lodged in pretty badly, and instead of pushing a replacement, they took the time to repair it properly, even needing to plug it twice. They explained everything clearly and were upfront throughout. Comfortable waiting area and I was back on the road quickly. Great team, fair pricing, and a shop I trust regardless of the car. I’ll continue coming back.

  I went to Mavis in bellmore for a nys inspection and tire change but i also needed brake pads, rotors and wipers. I initially gave a 5 star because Mavis in Bellmore promised me a $250 discount if I did (before the job was even done). Im changing my review now to a 3 star because Mavis in bellmore said they completed the job; however, when I went to pick up my suv I was then told by Erica that they were unable to give me a nys inspection sticker because their machine wasn't working. Erika sent me to another Mavis to get the sticker but when I got there they say they couldn't do it to 2 hours later because of certain regulations. However the manager at the second Mavis store said the store in bellmore should have brought my car to another location initially and did the work there and then take my car back to me fully completed instead having me run around. I agree. I called corporate office for a discount for the inconvenience (and because it put me in jeopardy to possibly get a ticket). Corporate only offered a 50$ voucher, 30$ back, or free oil change. Those options were ridiculous and not a deterrent for things like this to not happen again to a customer. I ended up choosing the 30$ refund on my card. Mavis in bellmore, do better! Update: The next day (April 2) I was driving to work and my tire pressure light came up on my dash. I went to the second Mavis and they told me it was recallibrated but the car is good. Once again Mavis in bellmore didnt do their job. Update as of today (April 10) My credit card was not refunded the $30 so i called today. I spoke with corporate as well as Mavis in bellmore and was advised by manager Andrew that Erica was transferred to another location and she had not informed the him that I was to get a refund. The manager said he would process it for me and that it will take 3 to 5 business days (which is to me is another 3 to 5 days tacked on because it was supposed to be process April 1). This is all unacceptable from Mavis in bellmore. And I'm also disappointed with corporate because I feel like they could've done more. I'm lowering the star again....from 3 to 2.
