  We had the most AMAZING experience here!! We were out of state from MA, driving a Subaru with VT plates, visiting family in Hammondsport. We got a flat tire while stopping at a small farmstand, and then called AAA. The AAA driver was equally fantastic, dealing with a tough change to the spare donut tire due to stripped faulty lug nuts. He told us not to drive too far and get this serious issue addressed. When we asked who he recommended to deal with the problem, he instantly recommended Monro in Bath. He added: not the cheapest but the best. We drove directly there and were greeted by friendly staff, who looked at the damaged tire and determined that it could actually be repaired. They got to work immediately and had it ready to go in about an hour. The person in charge also said that they weren’t the cheapest place in town, but they offered excellent service and quality repairs at fair prices. What more can you ask for? When my wife went to settle up in the office, while we repacked the trunk and spare donut, she was told: no charge, our pleasure to help. She was blown away by their kindness. We thanked them and drove away. Putting aside the no charge, these folks went above and beyond — super friendly to out of town tourists, explaining what needed to be done (new tire or repair) and stood behind their work. They even recommended we return before heading home (on the highway) so that they could check the repaired tire, tightness of the lug nuts, and all 4 pressures. We brought homemade baked goods as an added token of our appreciation. Thanks to the good people at Monro in Bath, we experienced human kindness at a difficult time. It gave us peace of mind. We highly recommend this shop!

  I needed my brakes checked because they were grinding. I needed them checked before going on a long trip. Stopped by and Josh met with me and conducted a free diagonstic check on my vehicle. He provided a resonable quote and I was scheduled the next day. They had me in and out of their shop within two hours. Now my vehicle is ready for our trip with new brakes and rotors. Great job to Monroe in Bath!

  The two stars are for the two lead loca mechanics good guys, I went in there for a NY state inspection knowing Imy car was passable including the tire tread im 38 and I travel a lot for work so I know tread that would not pass. So I dropped my car of I get there they pulled the sticker and told me it wouldn't pass because of the tread, obviously to be forced into getting tires through them, they also changed my break pads even though I clearly didn't need new ones the ones in the pic ar the ones I had on the car. Lesson learned lol Just be careful there
