I brought my car in to have 4 tires taken off the rims and have 4 more put on and re mounted. I had found an awesome deal on 4 tires but they just so happened to be an inch wider than my normal tires. I knew they might rub my wheel well but I've had bigger tires on before so didn't stress it. They gave my wife the hardest time about it and in the end refused because they didn't want to be held liable in case anything happened. I knowingly brought them in to be put on and knew what could happen. The liability was a load a of crap. I turned around and had another garage throw them on without an issue and guess what? No rubbing! So thanks for nothing, one customer gone!

Ok I personally communicated with the former manager after trying to get my daughters mercedes in for service only too learn he left and now manages James Chevrolet. I didnt take my car there because I learned Mavis who is an expert at doing inspections on limos now owns the business. As a side note there is a ling time excellent mechanic Kevin there, so if your having your car worked on have it only done by him ask the manager to introduce you to him so you know what he looks like and you can see through the bay doors that he is working on your car.

Walked in with a tire that had a nail in it with one person in front of me, they had the tire patched up to me by the time the customer in front of me was done free of charge, even when I went back to my car they saw the donut and threw it on really quick, fast easy friendly will be coming back that’s for sure

First, let me say that my family has been going to Adirondack Tire in Amsterdam for several years now and have never been disappointed. We have bought several sets of tires/ oil changes for different vehicles over the years. Jeremy (manager) and his crew have always been pleasant, respectful but most of all professional. They have never tried to upsell or recommend service or parts that were not needed.
Recently it came time for an oil/ filter change and a tire rotation on my current vehicle so naturally I called Jeremy only to find that he is no longer there and Adirondack Tire was bought out by Mavis. So, I made the appointment any way figuring how bad could it be for a couple of simple services? So, I picked up my vehicle about an hour later and went to run some errands. I noticed that my wheels had no hand prints in the brake dust so I checked my tire pressure monitor. My particular vehicle recommends different pressures for the front and rear tires. When I checked, the pressures were exactly the same which means that the tires were never rotated even though they told me they were. I went back and spoke to Joe. (manager) I asked him why he told me that the tires were rotated when they weren't. He laughed and said that "he wasn't back there when the work was done." Really?? Needless to say I didn't think it was funny at all and told him such. I asked if they even changed the oil and filter since "he wasn't back there when the work was done." Now, today, looking at my engine, I really doubt that the filter was even changed as it is in a very awkward location and there was no fresh spilled oil near it. Of course, I can't prove it but needless to say, I will NOT be going back there for ANY service no matter how minor.
You would think Mavis would've learned their lesson a few years ago about services they said they performed when they didn't. Apparently not.
