- FFFlaytous4 days ago1.0DON’T BRING YOUR CAR HERE!! THEY WILL DAMAGE IT!!! I cannot stress enough how terrible this Mavis location is. I took my Toyota Sienna here just to have the control arm replaced, and what happened was absolutely unacceptable. Instead of fixing the problem, they completely destroyed my car. The CV axle got stuck in the transmission, the axle housing was broken, the spline socket damaged, and the transmission and differential were all messed up. My car now won’t drive forward or in neutral, only reverse. I had to have it towed to a second mechanic, who confirmed that all this damage was caused by Mavis’s work. They even said they couldn’t fix it because of the extensive damage done by the first shop. What makes it worse is the customer service, which is beyond awful. The manager, Josh McCurry, is rude and unprofessional. When we tried to discuss the damage, he kicked us out of the store, and every time I call to get an update, he screams and yells at me. This is completely unacceptable behavior for a business that is supposed to serve customers. They tried to blame me, saying the damage was caused because I drove the car with a bad control arm and the shift linkage falling off twice, which is completely false. Any experienced mechanic knows that driving the car like that cannot cause a CV axle to get stuck, the spline to break, or the differential to be damaged. The only reason this happened is their negligence and improper handling during repair. They were literally beating on the axle with a hammer, causing damage, that is completely unprofessional and absolutely not how a proper mechanic removes an axle. On top of all this, we contacted corporate and the regional management, but they don’t care and keep changing their story about whether they will fix the car, constantly giving excuses and delaying any real solution which is beyond unprofessional. I have been without my car for over a month, facing huge stress, anxiety, and financial loss, all because this shop cannot do basic repairs correctly and refuses to take responsibility. This is not just bad service, it’s outright dangerous and damaging. Do yourself a favor: do NOT bring your car here. Go anywhere else. Mavis here will not only fail to fix your car but will probably make things much, much worse, and then treat you like garbage if you dare to call or ask questions. Absolutely appalling experience. Zero stars if I could.
