Today, my wife and I came in because we were having issues with retrieving a lug nut off my wife's BMW. We tried several other places, but to no avail. We tried Pepboys at 1008 Central Ave. We've been going to them for years; had other vehicles serviced at the pepboys as well, and of course, my wife and I were taken aback when they tried to charge us $1380+ for a service we did not need. Pepboys stated that if they could not retrieve the lug nut, they would have to remove plates and replace the entire L rear wheel bearing. What? We don't need brakes, brake pads, etc. Nothing is wrong with the wheel, etc. All my wife needed was some new tires, which she paid a pretty penny for. $900 +$200 for services. These ppl (at Pepboys, 1008 Central ave) had my wife come there for an appointment, at 5p, they couldnt do it, claimed they needed to order some stuff which would arrive in the morning, to come back. We did, and again they couldn't take the lug nut off. Then proceeded to talk "mechanic talk" and tell us that we need to have an additional, unnecessary, pricey ($1300+) service we DID NOT need. We then asked them to just refund us, and they told us they wouldn't refund us, and the cancelation or refund policy was 20% of what was paid. What? Man, we went into Mavis, 206 Central Ave; no appointment, no long wait. Josh and his team immediately helped us out. I have to admit, that lug nut was on there pretty good. But, my man Josh was patient, ordered the tools needed and got the lug nut off. No charge. That man told us, "I got you", and meant it. Also, he gave my wife a lug nut to use. Man, Josh is a cool dude. Helped us out and didn't even ask for anything. For now on, we are servicing our vehicles here, at Mavis, with Josh and his coworkers. They are all amazing. While waiting, I sat there and watch all these gentlemen make/take calls, service vehicles and they all were very professional. Great job fellas!! People, go to Mavis!.

When the gentleman repaired the tire it was less than 5 minutes total. Pleasant experience, and had a pleasant conversation with him thru out the visit! Would recommend!
